Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because my concern was not addressed, namely that I ended up paying over $300 for investigative work that---upon performing an inspection by myself---showed that the mechanic cannot have possibly even gained access to the area in which the problem existed (water damage under floor mat, affected VW convenience module). I'd like to point out, again, that it caused me stress to get my non-functional vehicle transported home, and get the car fixed otherwise, and still having to pay over $300 for a not performed service.
I had not appreciated the way this business treated me as a (local) customer. I have difficulties to imagine me recommending your business to anyone, ever, and sincerely hope that your other customers have a better experience than the dissatisfactory one that I had.  Sincerely,[redacted]

I have reviewed your invoice from back in September, water intrusion issues are time consuming to isolate and before we diagnose any vehicle malfunctions we always get approval for the charges first and you agreed to them in advance. For those charges you received a detailed written...

report of what we found wrong and what it was going to take to make the repairs and you declined to proceed with further repairs.
From my experience all professionals charge for their services to evaluate, diagnose and make a recommendation for a solution to solve your problem and then make the repair. We are no different.
I also understand that sometimes the perceived value of the answer and what it cost to arrive at that answer don’t always seem to balance, especially when the recommended repairs are not performed.
I understand your feelings.
