The customer made me aware of the instrument cluster issue in his Chevy Silverado by screaming and shouting at me and leaving rude and unprofessional voicemailsEach time I spoke with him I asked him to bring the vehicle back to me as soon as possible so I could assess the faulty part, get in touch with the rebuilder and see what could be done to make it right. The customer declined my offers each timeHe took it to another shop and had repairs done without giving me a chance to do anything to resolve the issueAll the work we do at Wood's Auto Service comes with a warranty and we stand by thatWe can't do that if we are not given the chanceThe customer was aware that the instrument cluster was remanufactured and he signed an invoice stating that the warranty was parts only on that particular unit and not transferableHe had the option to get an instrument cluster with a lifetime warranty on the part and year 24,mile labor warranty, but decided to opt for the cheaper one with a more limited warrantyHad he brought the vehicle back to me I would have been happy to provide a solutionThe rebuilder would have taken care of the parts and possibly the labor depending on the diagnosesWhen the estimate did increase the customer was called and he provided us with authorization before we proceeded
Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: This owner assured me he could get me a re manufactured instrument cluster , Now he states the original was rebuilt I also do not agree to pay labor on a faulty part from this company
Sincerely,
