while he waits for the insurance letter ([redacted])
Review: Hello,On March 21, 2014 my husband and I entered into a contract with Wayne [redacted] the owner of WMS Carpet & Flooring for the installation of carpet for 2 small bedrooms, laminate floors for 2 bedrooms and basement and four steps with included the removal of the old carpet. Our case was a bit complicated because this was a insurance claim. We were issued a check from our insurance company due to a flood. The check was made out to my husband and I and our mortage company. The tranaction took a couple of weeks to resolve but Mr. S[redacted] was understand. Our mortgage company issued Mr.S[redacted] a total of $4800 in three payments of $1600. As the payments were issued, Mr. S[redacted] would come and do some of the work. Well, when the final payment was issued, it was sent directly to Mr. S[redacted]. On several occasions Mr. S[redacted] promised us that he was coming to finish one room of laminate floors and our steps but never came. Finally he reassured me that he was coming on Monday, June 30th to complete the job since he had already been paid. On Sunday, June 29th, we received a text from Mr. S[redacted] stating that he needed some work don to his home and he would be there on Tuesday, July 1st. On Tuesday, July 1st I texted Mr. S[redacted] to see what time he was coming to my home and received a text from his phone stating that he was in jail for child support and the Judge sentenced him for 90 days. Since then, I have had serval people to call and talk to Mr. S[redacted] but Mr. S[redacted] is decking my phone calls. He has even agreed to come and do work for my friend but he does not know I had her to call. This his highway robbery and something needs to be done.Desired Settlement: I would like for Mr. S[redacted] to refund me for the $300 that he was charging for my steps that he did not complete and the $1600 that he was charging for the laminate floors in my bedroom that he did not complete but he was paid for. I have several text messages from Mr. S[redacted] acknowledging that he was paid for the job and he had not finished.
