Review: I am being billed for a service I did not receive.

I received a bill with a date of 8/23/12

Due 9/22/13, for $350.00

Bill does not indicate what service was provided.

I do not know what service this company provided. I have requesting nothing from this company, or any other company in the month of August (8/23/13), as listed on the invoice.

Bill indicates it is thirty days past due.

Please assist me in resolving this.

Desired Settlement: I would like this company to rescind this bill in writing, because if they do not, and if they report this to a credit reporting agency, and ruin my perfect credit history, I will file a lawsuit for damages, time energy and any fees expended in resolving this matter.

Initial Business Response

On 4-10-13 we were contacted to do a real estate inspection at XXXXX cr. [redacted] CA. We were to inspect the domestic water system. It is our understanding that Mr. [redacted] was the person responsible for payment of that inspection. The inspection was done and the results were sent to Mr. [redacted] PO Box in Sac. Apparently the sale of the house fell through. Mr. [redacted] has contacted our office, we have explained what the invoice was for and we told him that we would look into the matter and that his account WOULD NOT be turned over to a collection agency. We believed we were working with Mr. [redacted] in good faith. This invoice will be removed from Mr. [redacted] account and his account will be canceled.
