Review: I requested a pressure reducing valve be installed at my residence in January 2015. Construction on the water and sewer mains interrupted service in my neighborhood several times. after the water service was restored my water pipes would burst. Air and high pressure would come out of the sink faucets. At night when consumers weren't using their water the pressure would build up and damage my lines. after fixing three different water lines and mopping up gallons of water I finally got a new valve installed. the water damaged my cabinets and vents. when I asked about the problems and complained they sent me huge water bills.$627.31 for March, $1106.02 for April and a final bill of $1706.45. the water was disconnected in May. they added the first bill on top of the final bill?? I asked them repeatedly about the water valve and they told me they couldn't account for every little call that goes to the service dept. if they had installed the pressure valve when I first requested it, my home would not have been damaged. I no longer stay at my home because its unsanitary and they refuse to adjust the water bill to the amount I pay every month, about $70.00. No one will help me because there is no accountability. ive asked the District Attourney and the new director, Mr. [redacted] They keep adding charges. I don't understand how they can do that.Desired Settlement: My Water bill should be adjusted to an acceptable amount based on previous usage. I would accept the adjustment in leiu of the damages caused by the lack of attention and inconvience caused by the public utility.
