In August of 2016, this customer purchased cartons of hardwood from Winters Home Furnishings LLC. The job was a cash & carry and the quantity of wood was not measured by Winter's Home Furnishings. In July of 2017, the customer contacted Winters Home Furnishings, months after the
sale requesting to return, for refund boxes of hardwood. His request was denied based on two policies. First, the product is a non-stocking item of Winters Home Furnishings; therefore, is not subject to an in house return. The distributor of the product would be responsible for honoring a return. *** *** Company's policy on returned items is days from date of purchase. The merchandise the customer is requesting to return is months old and is a run sensitive product. I have contacted a representative of *** *** Company, due to these unusual circumstances. *** *** has agreed to return the boxes for a restocking fee of 25% of the total invoice. The customer is also responsible for paying the freight charges to return the items to *** ***. The customer will also be responsible to return the items to Winters Home Furnishings.
