Review: We asked Winston's to clean our chimney. On November 13, 2013, a technician came and inspected our chimney advising us that we would need to spend $1,100 for repairs to fix the chimney and to allow them to inspect the chimney properly. On December 13, 2013 Winston's did this work and then inspected the chimney. At that time, Winston's advised us that we would need to spend an additional $3,100 in order to get our chimney working. I stopped the work at that point because had I known that it would cost over $4,000 to get the chimeny working, I would not have started the process at all. My issue is that the technician did not advise us at the first consultation that it could cost over $4,000 to get the chimney working. He only provided pricing for the first part of the works.Desired Settlement: As I would not have started the work had I been given a full and proper cost estimate at the start, I would like to have the money I have paid for the work done refunded. Due to a weather issue, Winston's did not complete all the intial work so I have only paid $748.
