The first set of replacement windows were ordered on 9/21/18 paying 50% down payment. Was told it would take approximately 8 to 10 weeks before installation could occur. That was fine but after making 3 planned trips from Charlotte to Blowing Rock to get them installed I was called while at my vacation home that they could not install due to high winds in the Blowing Rock area. Thus, 3 wasted trips to finally get them installed on 4/17/19. The worst part about it is they installed them from the inside which that means they could have installed them months previous and no wasted trips on my part.Balance was paid on 4/17/19. Gave them a second chance thinking this could not happen again but oh was I wrong. Ordered second set of replacement windows on 4/27/19 and paid 50% down payment. On 5/20/19 they installed the second set but we found 2 windows were broken but they installed them anyway, took the measurements on both plus one window from the original installation had a broken sash lock , so they measured it to be replaced with the other two, paid balance. I then made another trip up on 6/21/19 to meet one their employees and he only had one window and it was clearly damaged so no install and he measured and took pictures of all 3 windows again. I then proceeded to call 7/29/19 ( Pam ), 7/30/19 ( Emily ), 7/31/19 ( Pam and Richard *** was to have called me but no call ), 8/1/19 ( Emily - Samantha will call me on 8/5/19 ), 8/5/19 - No call, 8/6/19 - Left VM message, 8/26 or 8/27 ( Samantha to call or Richard - No call ), 9/3/19 I called and Samantha lined up 9/10/19 to have the windows installed. On 9/10/19 I met one installer and then Richard *** shows up. No apologies til the end when guess what ?, he found that two of the windows were the wrong size again!! Richard proceeded to re-measure the windows and apologized stating that he wanted to reimburse me for all my trips and that he would take care of the problem immediately. Now 10/14/19 no calls period?
Mr. is correct. There have been many issues and problems with getting the correct replacement parts from our suppliers. In addition the communication on our end has been poor as well. I completely understand his frustrations and will gladly write him a check for his extra trips to his vacation home. I told Mr. I would compensate him for his travel expenses when we last met. I do offer my deepest apologies and I'm in the process of making changes to ensure that no other customer has a similar experience. A check for $500 will be mailed out this week to Mr.. I added $100 because he deserves it for the bad experience he has had to endure.
