Thank you for bringing this to my attention.The patient did indeed that a home steep study preformed at our local hospital and one of our physicians did an interpretation of said sleep study (very similar to a radiologist reading an xray) in which we billed for this serviceThe patient is correct in that we do not participate with his insuranceHowever, we did file the claim to his insurance and the patient was reimbursed for our physician's services according to an EOB on 6/28/16.In regards to his claims of "being bounced around", the patient had called our billing office and left a messageThe billing clerk called him back on 4/27/and left him a message with her direct line on his cellphone (that matches the one he provided in complaint)Our standard procedure is to offer a discount to patients whose insurance we do not participate withAnd we would have certainly discussed this with him, however he never called backAlso listed on every bill is the email address for the billing department that he could have emailed our billing company at anytime.We did reach out again to the patient on Monday, January 9, We did offer him a discount which he gladly accepted.
