Wilsons Contractors Paving & Masonry

- Contractor came to our house and stated they were doing paving work in our neighborhood, including a backyard basketball court and a driveway. We were planning a new driveway in the spring but I relented and said go ahead and expecting a new driveway. We did not get a new driveway but a resurfacing on top of the old driveway, however, we paid the cost for a complete new driveway. A driveway resurfacing should be half the cost of a new driveway.
- I did not see any other work completed in our neighborhood by this contractor so that was a lie.
- The quality of the asphalt is substandard. I was told to wait 2 days before using the driveway; I waited 3 days and once I started using the driveway I was seeing car tire tread depression marks and other small depressions.
- I am going to have the driveway seal coated in the spring to see if that helps protect the surface as I am seeing some small loose gravel pieces.
- I normally pay contractor work with a personal check. Once the contractor was just about done with the job he wanted to be paid in cash (I have never heard of this before). I went to the bank just before closing to get the cash (stupid me).
- I normally only deal with local known contractors but in this case I made a mistake and will never do that again.
- I called and also sent a message to the contractor about the tread depresssions but did not get response back from the contractor.
