In writing this review, I can only hope that others avoid this massive pitfall that is Willmark Communities.I lived at a Nevada based property for a little over two years, during which time I switched from a smaller unit to a larger oneBefore the move I was told that my deposit would roll over into the new unit, and I would only need to pay the first month's rent in order to move
I was shocked a month later when I received my rent bill with multiple late feesDuring this time, my deposit did not roll over as they originally statedInstead they withdrew a $cleaning fee from my original deposit, and took $from my first months rent as the deposit for the new apartmentWhen I called the leasing office they stated that they could not help, instead, I would would have to contact the corporate officeWhen I contacted the corporate office, I was told that I would not be able to speak to anyone who would be able to assist me with the late fees, as this was not their policyInstead, I had to submit a written request through the leasing office, and then I would receive a responseA month later, I received a print out, that showed that most of the fees would be rescinded and I would only be charged a $fee
Now after moving out, the leasing office refused to provide me with a final statement despite the fact that they now say that I will be charged for full paint and carpet replacement(It seems as though they try everything to keep your entire deposit.)
I contacted the corporate office multiple times, and I was finally able to speak to Rita RuizShe stated that they could not provide me with any information because it takes days for a final statement to be processed(days!!) To me this seems illogical, if you know what you're charging me for, then how is it possible that you do not know the fees?? To make things worse, the current leasing office I am trying to rent from needs a final statement from Willmark because it shows that my account is still "open" and in collections with WillmarkEven after explaining this to MsRuiz, she refused to be of any assistance, even going as far as to hang up the phone on meHow appalling it is to have to deal with these people!?!?
It's sad that their mission statement reads "Willmark Communities is committed to a corporate culture of honesty, Fairness and Integrity", and yet management does not posses any of these attributes! (It's also ironic that "honesty" is in lower case.) Stay away from any property owned my Willmark Communities!!
Warning do not do business with this company they will found anything wrong with your apt and charge you for stuff they never installed. Now I'm on my way to court for less than $100. When I had a blanket in my window for three years. I have picture and they still don't want to dispute it so the judge will decided. Principles!

out what happened, Mr. [redacted] signed a 12-month lease and moved in. He set-up his account to access the on-line payment site for only 11 occurrences ending in July 2015. When he tried to pay on-line in August 2015, he was not able to because that would exceed the 11 occurrences. However, he eventually was able to pay on-line on August 3rd, 2015, without any late penalties. Mr. [redacted] must have set-up for additional occurrences beyond the original 11 in order to pay on-line again. He has continued to pay on-line without any issues. It is possible Mr. [redacted] forgot he only set-up initially for 11 occurrences, so when he went to pay on-line for August 2015 (12th time), he was denied access to the site.
Mr. [redacted] also mentioned in his complaint the “on-site manager can’t do anything to help, and the corporate office does not respond.” Our corporate office is open 6 days a week, Monday through Saturday, and I work on Sundays at one of the communities. Therefore, someone is available to help Mr. [redacted] and other residents every day of the week. If an on-site manager needs help, he or she can call the corporate office for assistance.

I lived in Shadowridge Park Apartments, managed by [redacted].
In the 13 months that I lived here it was a never-ending battle. A huge chunk of a tree fell on my car, causing over $2,000 in damages. After being promised a refund by the office staff, Willmark called it an "act of god" and refused to pay us one penny.
Whenever we asked the office staff for help with anything, we were treated like we were bothering them, like we were a burden.
After moving out, we left the apartment in good condition and expected to get most of our deposit back, this was 4 months ago and I still haven't received the full amount I was promised by [redacted].
[redacted]n accounting has being "helping" me with getting my money back but she is the most difficult person to get a hold of and she never returns calls. On top of that, she's rude and just doesn't care.
Willmark Communities is a HORRIBLE company to do business with, all they care about is making money. It's really just a giant scam.
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
wasnt able to respond quick enough last time so it marked my complaint as resolved, however it is not resolved. Also Willmarks said they would reach out to me, that has not happened and its been 2 weeks so i'll repost it here: Moved out of the apartment, did a pre-move out inspection, took photos, recorded it, guy said he's never seen anyone put so much effort into cleaning an apartment. Long story short, they eventually sent me a bill for over 1400 dollars (rent here was 1500 for the apartment). I wrote back stating the charges I did not agree with and why. I also asked them to respond to me if they disagreed with my findings and if so I could provide evidence and state laws. Never heard back. About a year and a half later I received a letter in the mail from a collections agency. I sent them a letter disputing the charges and why. Never heard back from them. Then Today, December 13th 2016 almost 3 years to the date since move out, they sent me to collections and it hit my account. Prominences (willmark) is currently being sued for over charging tenants after move out. I have disputed the charges again however this is now going on 3 years of back and forth with little to no word from the actual company. I advice any one to NOT rent from Willmark communities (prominence). Again they are currently being sued for this very thing. I will sue them personally after the current lawsuit is settled.

Willmark Properties was recently changed to a D- due to the current lawsuit against them for over charging residents for deposits, damages and etc..... According to channel 10 news?
We lived in one of their communities for three years. We paid our rent on time or early every single month we were there. We moved out a year ago, and are currently going through the application process for a different apartment community. When Willmark was sent a request for rental verification, they refused, so I contacted them and was told to stop by the leasing office for a copy of my ledger. When I went there, I was told that I had to go through corporate, so I contacted them. They told me I had to go to the leasing office. When I told her that I was just there and they told me the exact opposite the woman on the phone said she would call me back. When she did it was to inform me that it's against their policy to release that information to anyone, including to me. I told her that I needed it for the apartment I was applying for and was told that she couldn't help me. I asked to speak to someone else, and was told that there was no one else I could speak to. I asked to speak to whomever she had spoken to and she said no; I asked to speak to her supervisor and she said no. This place is incredibly unhelpful. Once you move out they obviously have no interest in customer service, regardless of how good a tenant you were for however long you live there. I strongly advise against renting from this company.
Review: I have contact Willmark multiple times through phone, email, letter, and fax; they have never contacted me back via phone or email despite asking for them to so in every contact attempt.Desired Settlement: For them to actually call me back and discuss my issue like professionals.

Review: I last lived in a Willmark Community, Prominence Apartments, Sept of 2012. I applied for an apartment Tuesday, April 7th and was denied the following day based on an outstanding balance of $1269.76. I paid off the balance within hours after I was made aware of it. However, the Community refused to provide me with a receipt or provide documentation that the amount was paid off. I need the confirmation of the amount paid so that I can move into a new apartment. After multiple calls I was finally provided with a credit card receipt, not an itemized bill. I made over 20 calls yesterday and today, and received different stories that I would receive the itemized ledger in 24 hours, 7 days and was last told that it would take 30 days. Every person I spoke with had a different understanding of the "company policy" in regards to itemized receipts. I have applied and been approved for over 20 units in the past 2.5 years and was never made aware of this charge. I also have NEVER once received any type of correspondence at my forwarding address from Willmark regarding an over due bill.
Background: I have had a terrible experience with Willmark. A week before we were supposed to move into an apartment I called to verify the move in date listed on the lease, no one ever called me back. We moved our things and when we got to the complex, our apartment wasn't ready, even though that's when the lease said it would be. Also, when we moved out my roommate and I made literally 100s of phone calls to Willmark for various verifications and only 4 calls were returned. So it doesn't surprised me that I never learned of this balance.Desired Settlement: I would like an electronic and hard copy of a letter on Willmark Letterhead explaining that I paid off the Prominence Apartments balance of $1269.76 on Wednesday, April 8th, 2015 complete with an itemized bill.
