The home owner put mark on wall and agreed that was set height of bottom of window that's where we set it now he says that was counter height about being out of level the whole entire house is out of level and plumb it is a old Philadelphia house where nothing is square or level anymore and we where working with what we had matching new brick with existing brick is never perfect and it was a rough opening where framing could be adjusted by carpenter
Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I took pictures of the before and afterBefore, as you can see, the wood lintel rests approximately two courses below the joistAfter it was replaced with a steel lintel, it rests three courses of brick below the joistI asked him why the bricks up there were even freshly mortared and he said that as he took the old lintel out, a few courses from above fellIm assuming he just put it back up where he thought it wasUnfortunately, he put it back up too low causing the window to sit too lowThe other two pictures show a clear hole to the outside which shoulve been flat so a window buck could be added Regards, [redacted]

I took pictures of the before and after. Before, as you can see, the wood lintel rests approximately two courses below the joist. After it was replaced with a steel lintel, it rests three courses of brick below the joist. I asked him why the bricks up there were even freshly mortared and he said that as he took the old lintel out, a few courses from above fell. Im assuming he just put it back up where he thought it was. Unfortunately, he put it back up too low causing the window to sit too low. The other two pictures show a clear hole to the outside which shoulve been flat so a window buck could be added.
