The resident claims to have requested a refund from when she double paid (not double charged) rent on October The staff here did not receive any refund request which usually only takes a few days at most to get refunded back to the resident if a refund is requestedThe account had a full
months worth of rent sitting on the account as a creditEvery month the residents continued to pay their base rent with no utilities includedEach month utilities were still charged to the residents account and were coming out of the original credit of $Their account was never delinquent because they had such a large credit that was slowly going down since they were not paying the additional utility feesIn February I called to inform Brian that they had nearly a full months rent as a credit on their account ($1224.40)He did not mention anything about that month supposed to be refunded back to them and each month they continued to pay rent each month which is why I called to inform himThen on Their January rent payment of $had NSF'dThis caused their account which originally had a credit of $to get canceled out and then instead owe and additional $This was for the few months of unpaid utilities that originally were being paid for by the credit on the accountSince the additional amount was not paid with rent that was due on They were charged $on the 4th and an additional $for serving a legal noticeThe notice was served on Saturday where we had a newer staff member in the officeShe might not have been able to find out exactly why the account showed money but the balance due still should have been paidWe have always been closed Sundays so no one would have been able to call back the resident that dayThe staff member is however aware of the office hoursOn Monday (03.06.17) I received a call first thing in the morning from the resident asking why they never got called yesterday which I explained their account along with why they didn't receive a call SundayI had a meeting with Brian going over his account to show him exactly where the error came into place and he said he was going to check why the rent check had NSF'dWe have heard nothing back since thenUnfortunately because it was a rent payment that had NSF'd and not a refund that took months to post we will not be refunding the late fees
