Review: When a dear friend lost a member of his family, I wanted to send a nice gift basket. I went online to look for a local florist and chose Wildflowers Florist because at a glance I saw a 4 star rating. I proceeded to order the basket on line. Later in the morning I decided to call the florist to confirm that the order would indeed be delivered to my friend that same day. They said that the order was all ready and that the delivery van would be leaving soon. I explained that it was important to me that the delivery be completed today and that if there was any problem, they were to call me. I had offered to pick it up if it was necessary. I confirmed that they had both my work telephone number and my cell number should they have any problems.
The next day, concerned that my gift did not get delivered, I called first thing in the morning and left a voice mail message asking that they please give me a call. By 11 AM I had not received a call so I decided to call again. That is when I learned of the change in delivery plans. It turned out that they had spoken with my friend a couple of times and they had made arrangements to complete the delivery the next day. I would have appreciated a call from the florist letting me know of the new arrangement but did not receive any calls.
Although I was highly disappointed in the lack of communication from the florist to me, the buyer of the gift; I probably would have just let it go until I receive a thank you from my friend for the basket which included a picture of the delivered gift. I so wish this site would allow me to post the website presentation of the arrangement and the picture of the actual delivery!! It is noted on the website that substitutions may be made if certain plants/flowers are out of season. This policy is very understandable and I was comfortable with moving forward with my order.
With tax and delivery this order totaled to $74.90. I was excited for my friend to receive this basket.
When I saw the picture of the delivered basket my heart was sick!! The basket was not anywhere near comparable to the website's representation of what I thought I was paying for! Not only was the quality of the basket misrepresented, the arrangement itself filled only half the basket!
I am writing this letter in hopes that I can prevent someone else from falling victim to the false advertising presented by Wildflowers Florist. Buyers beware of Wildflowers Florist located at [redacted].
Sincerely,
Highly Disappointed CustomerDesired Settlement: I would like to receive a refund for the purchase and delivery charges for my order. I would hope that what happened was a terrible mistake and that Wildflowers truly does not intentionally misrepresent their products. I would like the company to care about their business enough to not let this happen again and want to make things right. Also, I would hope that Wildflowers would take steps to establish standards for "GOOD Customer Service and Integrity".
