I gave this business 1 star because the owner, Michelle B, does not deliver on what she promises.
I had visited Wild Arts Gallery & Glass Studio on an excursion during an Alaskan cruise. During the excursion, I pulled an amber color hot glass rod from the cistern. Since Sitka was supposed to be known for its artists that create stuff from glass, I special ordered a vase from Michelle, because I wanted a souvenir. Five months later, I received a small red bowl. I followed up with Michelle stating that I was disappointed with what she had sent. She asked me to destroy it and she would remake the item I had ordered. I followed up with her over the next months by email and received excuse after excuse, then she would not respond anymore. I thought I was the only one that she did this to, but if you search the internet, you will find where others have had the same fate. Michelle B/Wild Arts Gallery & Glass Studio gives Alaskan tourism a black eye when she treats visitors this way.
Regarding her Italian Hot Glass Excursion, it is more hype than what it is worth. When I took the excursion, you sat in her studio, listen to her talk, pull a hot glass rod from a cistern, and then she took you shopping. Nothing magical about the excursion. When visiting Alaska, save your money on this excursion and visit the outdoors or have a meal at one of the restaurants. Avoid this excursion and the business.
