Paid $2140 in advance for an engine in Sept Car has still not been repaired.
In Sept. my son (Jason Golightly) took his hummer to this shop for an engine repair. They told us we had to pay in advance so they could order the engine. We paid $2140 on 9-18. After weeks of not hearing from them we called they said we paid too late they couldn't get an engine so they were going to have to rebuild the one we have. Waited another few weeks called back. Their mechanic was in Vegas, but as soon as he returned it would be no time before the car was repaired. That was early Nov. Called 2 weeks ago they told us it was coming along good, should be done before Christmas. Called yesterday, owner said he hadn't heard from the mechanic he would call and get back to us. No return phone call. We are at our wits end, they have $2140 of our money, my sons car and we do not know what to do.
Since they obviously do not know how to repair the vehicle, I want my $2140 deposit back, and I want my sons engine returned to him. They took the engine out of his car, and towed his car back to his home.
After finally confronting the owner face to face, he fixed it within one week. My quoted price for the repair was $3000, he charged me $4100. Added a new radiator and new battery to my charges without asking if we approved, we had just put a new radiator in one year ago, and a new battery two weeks before we put the vehicle in his shop in September. The vehicle has been stalling ever since we picked it up. Afraid to take it back to him as we've already been charged WAY more than we should have been. Would never recommend this business to anyone. Not reliable, and definitely price gouges. Took 4 months and many complaints before we got our vehicle back.

The customer has their car back and was charged correclty for the work that was done.
My vehicle was returned to me with several additional problems that I did not have before taking it to this location. My driver side lock was stripped, my entire dashboard is no longer functioning, and my transmission is still stuttering. I returned to the business the following day, after paying 1200 cash, and asked the manager and owner for a resolution. The manager was rude and called the owner Kris out who was also rude and told me "they are not mechanics, they only fix transmissions" and he cant help me. I had to call the police to file a report and they basically told me to take them to civil court. They still have not contacted me to address this problem nor offered any reimbursement. I am out 1200 and I still have to find someone else to fix my transmission. The service I received was beyond poor and is unacceptable for a business and I believe someone needs to investigate their business practices.
