Steve S, the president of White Pelican Realty (White Pelican Home Services) entered into a contract with me to rent my house for Jan., Feb. and Mar 2020. The price was $3,500 per month and totaled $10,500 for the three months. The agreement stated that the realtor would get 18% or $1,890 and I would get 82% which equaled $8,610. When I didn't get my first month's share in January, I asked Steve and he told me that their system was set up to pay the whole amount at the end of the 3 month rental. He then promised that I would get paid the $8,610 on April 10th and then pushed that date to April 15th. A few days before the 15th, he sent out a general email that his company was having financial difficulties because of the coronavirus and that he was seeking loans to help his business and that we should all be patient about getting paid. I sent him an email asking him to give me his specific ideas on how he thought that I would get my money and when. He refused to answer my emails.
The $8,610 due me was never his money and should not have been used for his business purposes. There were several other problems dealing with him as well. I can provide you with those details too but right now I just want to get the $8,610 that is owed me.
Most of what Mr M is true. However unlike Mr M we won't use this platform to answer his complaint as we don't feel the public should know the inner workings of our business or Mr M's personal affairs. We will set the record straight by explaining that our booking software and the way the system pays our landlords in Mr M's case would not afford payment until May 5th, 2020. We did have a conversation with Mr. M prior to the World shut down at which time we offered to pay Mr M earlier than his original pay date. And yes, our business has been damaged due to the government's complete shut down. Mr M regards himself special and is thinks he should be exempt from the current world pandemic. He will be paid as his signed contract outlines.
Mr. S's comment that I regard myself as special is false. It is Mr. S who regards himself as special. How can he justify using my 82% of the rent that he was holding to pay me. The three month total of $8,610 WAS NOT HIS MONEY!! It was mine and he should not have used it for his own purposes. In addition, he indicates that I will be paid as the signed contract outlines. What does that exactly mean?.
They refuse to give us a full refund.
We scheduled a trip to the Villages, FL through Airbnb with home host White Pelican. Due to the national state of emergency we do not feel we should be travelling now. Additionally, we do not feel that other required service providers (fuel, restaurants, stores. Etc.) would be available to support our trip. With 40 days advance notice White Pelican refuse to refund any part of the fee and has shown themselves to be greedy and unsupportive of the national situation. I will never use then again and will pass this on to others.
We are seeking a full refund.
This individual received a refund for his stay through *** due to an *** forced cancellation for extenuating circumstances. White Pelican does not handle any monies when a booking is processed through ***. WE HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH HIS CANCELLATION OR REFUND! It is processed through ***!
