provided us an estimate to do concrete work on March 9, 2020. On March 14, 2020, we gave him a 40% down payment in the amount of $10,550.00 to do the work. This check was cashed on March 19, 2020. We left several phone messages for him asking when he would be doing the work, and received no response. On June 15, 2020, he delivered supplies - rebar and forming lumber. We also received a signed contract at that time. On June 19, 2020, his crew showed up and removed our existing 4,710 square feet of blacktop driveway. Each time we spoke with him, he promised to call within the next few days and get new concrete poured within the next few weeks. We haven't heard from him since - almost seven weeks. We've left several voicemail messages and our daughter has been trying to contact him via *** Messenger. Although the contract does not state when the work will be complete, we feel as though we should be contacted by *** to let us know he will complete the work by August 15, 2020. His lack of responsiveness is unacceptable, and our driveway with the blacktop removed is eroding with all of the recent rainfall.

I had new concrete work completed on a new home by *** Masonry & Concrete Construction in late summer/fall of 2017. The owner, *** removed brick work off the front of my home on the east side with out asking my permission. He did not cut the stone to even it out, he removed more than was needed. Before he had the opportunity to put the brick work back up, there were many issues to the concrete and the concrete had to be redone. The concrete lacked expansion barrier. The entire driveway had several snakes throughout the entire driveway. It cracked in several places within 2 months. The back patio had several cracks between the house and concrete and had huge chunks of concrete falling out and cracking off. Per contract signed on 11/28/18, all concrete would be redone including the brick work on front of the home. When the concrete was replaced, *** Masonry & Concrete Construction hit the same side of the garage with the brick work that needed completion and compromised the rest of the brick work along with the top cement ledge. The metal edge was bent and *** saw this and stated he would need to now fix the entire side. This did not get completed when concrete was poured. On 11/1/19 *** stopped over and told me I would be the next job. On 12/9/19, *** texted me he would be at my home on 12/16/19. On 12/16/19 *** texted me he was not able to make it and he has not responded to any text since. His lack of communication, wrong supplies and follow through has now left me to address new avenues.
