Westway Hotel & Hostel

Review: I stayed at the Westway Hostel while spending some time in New York. Two weeks after my inital stay I booked another stay. Upon my arrival the woman at the front desk (I'm not sure of her name, but in my pror stay there she was the only female who worked behind the desk), took my money. Then she said upon looking at my file I needed to pay an additional $100. When I asked what this was for she told me "undisclosed damages". When I was asked what the damages were I was told "they're undisclosed for a reason". When I asked to speak to a [redacted] I was told there was no [redacted] on duty. When I asked to get a [redacted] on the phone to discuss this I was told "the [redacted] does not wnat to speak to you." At that point I asked for my money back. I was told I could check in and pay the additional $100 fee and stay but was not getting my money back as it's "non-refundible".Also, upon my inital stay, I was expecting to pay one price based on an email that stated "TOTAL AMOUNT DUE AT TIME OF CHECK-IN", yet when I checked in the rate was higher because they failed to disclose (in plain site), there's an NYC 14.75% tax as well as an additional $3.50 per day (I'm unsure what this fee is for_.Desired Settlement: I would like the $300 I paid for the week that was not returned to me.
