Review: The New Orleans Panthers Organization (non-profit) a football club hired Westside Transport Inc. to provide transportation for over one hundred children and their parents to Austin, TX on November 21, 2014 in which Westside Transport Inc. reneged on the service to provide the organization with two charter buses and only delivered one bus. Mr. Verrett Sr. whom presented himself as owner notified me the day before the service was to be delivered that he could not deliver two buses. Mr. and Mrs Verrett were on a cruise the days leading up to the service and was not able to assist us with finding a replacement. Mr and Mrs Verrett Sr. went on this cruise the day after The New Orleans Panthers made the final payment for services, leaving the organization with limited options. The organization was forced to pay almost double ($5,500.00) for a replacement bus at short notice. Westside Transport Inc. owes the organization $7000.00 and will not answer calls, emails or text to settle the debt. The New Orleans Panthers Youth Organization is a non-profit organization that caters to enter-city youths. The organization has made several attempts to contact Mr. and Mrs. Verrett by voice calls, text messages, emails and certified mail and no responses. The Verretts did not even except the certified letter sent to them. The funds we receive are donations from various organizations such as the State Police, NFL and local companies. Please advice on how to pursue my complaint. Westside Transport Inc. Info: (504) 309-1012 Office and (504)905-7570 cell. I wanted to file charges for theft because I do believe Mr. and Mrs. Verrett Sr. took the organizations money knowing they were not going to provide the full service. Mr. Verrett and Mrs Verrett stated that buses were being repaired but all buses would be ready to transport us on the dates specified in the contract. The day after full payment for service they both left for a week long cruise and were on the cruise on the service date. Desired Settlement: The organization is willing to accept payment of $7000.00 from Westside Transport. There was a contract in place and the Organization paid for three buses and later only needed two buses. This was a verbal agreement and we have emails and text messages as proof of such agreement. The cost for each bus was $3500.00 and a deposit for three buses was $1500.00. New Orleans Panthers paid Westside Transport 10,500.00 for three buses but only got one bus. The organization paid $5500. to cover lost.
