I am rejecting this response because:The fact of the matter is Dr/Drs at Westover Hills Pediatrics ""Chose" not too do the work on my Daughter TeethAnd Deferred her as a patient, Causing loss of time too seek immediate attention on the Lower Back Tooth, as well as other teethThis is the same tooth The dentist took A very poor X-Ray of at time of her visitThis fact was clarified too us by the new Pediatric Dental Facility DrAs My Daughters file and x-rays were transferred over at our Request after they let my daughter go as a patient of many yearsThe actual day of my daughters "Adult" Cleaning Which is stated on The Insurance Paperwork, and ExamI believe it was a full mouth x-ray panelI believe The Drhimself, did not follow the American Dental Association Guidelines as a General Pediatric DentistFor the following Reasons; The DrExamined my daughters teeth and said she needed work too be done on the rear back toothHe inserted the dental pick into her tooth and it got stuck! My daughters tooth had a hole in itThe tooth itself was hollowThe Dr."He Said, to us, Since Charles my oldest Son is so big; My daughter,She can go ahead and go with himAnd find another DentistAnd this is how the Dr.Pawned my daughter off as a patientThere were about other teeth the Dentist had in "QUESTION as well(2) Cavities, and one serious tooth which is the one I am describing above needing immediate workRegardless of the time frame; This DrChose not too do the work on my daughters Tooth/ Teeth nor did he care too retake an x-ray on a tooth that he knew very well was in serious condition and in need of RepairMy daughter had a very hard time after loosing her grandmother during this time and it caused the time lapse of the last visitRegardless I believe the Dris trying to find and use any excuse for taking the time too care for his patientsAs working on a tooth may take away from his assembly line of making fast money off cleaning several kids teeth in a days workNo time for the real Procedures that need tending tooI even called and question there release of my daughter after the visit and she was brought homeI was told they did not have the tools to do the work!

We are writing in response to the complaint filed against us on 06/26/2016. After much review the office feels it was in the best interest of the patient to be referred to a. general dentist who could assist in all and any dental treatment that is needed. Unfortunately the patient did not follow...
the American Academy Pediatric Dentistry recommended guidelines which is to schedule a dental appointment every six months resulting in findings of caries/decay that required treatment. The patient was last seen in our office over a year and a half ago. The set up of our office is that of a typical setup in a pediatric dental office. As a result of these findings and the nature of restorations needed for this patient and age, the appropriate protocol would be to refer patient to a general dentist. The reason this is done is so that the patient may establish a dental home and a relationship with a new dentist. At this age the patient has all permanent teeth and as a pediatric dentist we are limited in the amount of procedures we can perform on permanent teeth. Thus the referral to a general dentist. Please see the attached documents from the patient's insurance describing in more detail fault in the lack of consistent dental checkups. We strive as a pediatric dental office to provide the best quality service to each of our patients, but this requires cooperation from their parents to keep up with dental checkups and cleanings.
