On March 18, my husband and I bought a home from Western Rentals, LLC in Elkhart, INThe issue that we had involving Western Rentals is that the home had major structural damage (main support beam, floor joists, and subflooring underneath the bathroom were rotten), this lead to us being homeless, living with a relative for months, so that we could fix our homeWe found these issues hours after we signed closing papersWe attempted to contact the owner of Western Rentals to have them fix the damage, but we were told that this issue, "wasn't their problem." The sellers disclosure stated that, "this house was a rental, have never lived here." While fixing the structural damage, we found significant evidence of an attempt to fix and conceal the damageDrywall was used as flooring underneath the sink and bathtub, particle board and wood paneling underneath the toilet, and cork board was used as a subflooring patch between the toilet and bathtubThe individuals in question also
