To whom it may concern We sold the first truck to the costumer AS IS and they did take it for a test drive. They brought it back about 11 days later complaining about the engine was making noise. Out our good will and without any obligation from us we offered to exchange her truck for another one....
And she needed to pay the couple hundred in different in price. We agreed on these terms and if she has called me a couple of time and we offered to give her a discounted rate on fixing her truck if she ever needed it.
Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I was lured to West Coast Auto Center Tacoma WA while on Craigslist private owners To look at a basic 1999 mustang for $1800. Realized it was car lot dealership when got to Tacoma WA. When I arrived at address with sister I was met by car dealer that had card with no last name...west coast spelled incorrectly. He showed the listed car which seemed like a fair deal, but noticed overflow return was not connected and then , that the car had a recent coolant flush, but driving with with the return unconnected allows the coolant in over flow to return. Anyway I asked if any cracked cylinder or head gasket problems while looking him right in the eye and he assured me that the car did not. I connected the line to the radiator and within days I noticed over flow tank getting dingy coolant, which wound up being oil. I called the dealership and told the car I would like to called the dealer on ph # on card provided and told him what is going on with the car and asked to bring it to his car lot and garage. I was told by dealership to just keep driving it for a couple weeks and if I am still having problems to bring it , and this after I told him the exact nature of the blown motor. After a week of and could get time off from work I called again was put off. I took the mustang back to west coast auto and let them view the black oil in the radiator and over flow I hooked up. They ignored me all day. And only until the the late afternoon the showed me a Buick. It had a lot of dried oil in an empty resovoir. Head problems.... later before closing they let me look at a 1999 voltswagon that front end hood was caved in from an accident. Near closing I reluctantly took the volts wagon voltswagon for $850 out the door when I had just paid them $2201. I asked them for the difference in the value of the two card and was again if Not ed d and walked away from. Later after realizing the voltswagon was losing oil I noticed the oil filter loose and looses oil when driving. I tightened it up and soon noticed milky mayonase in the oil filler cap....water getting into oil. I have been a second mechanic for bourses limousine in San francisco. The odds of 3 blown motors seems beyond malicious. I notice more of the same scam from other reviews of west coast auto. They are purposely in my opinion selling cars with major issues and purposely hiding and not disclosing and selling to uniformed customers. This as of April 1 st has not been resolved.no reimbursement and accusations that I broke their mustang and owed them money and took it back for a voltswagon with with huge caved in front end and a hidden blow motor...oil getting water in it. Wow. They made my move to Seattle area a nightmare that I am still living. Gave them every penny I saved for a year. I feel totally robbed. My advice is to stay far away from west coast auto center in tacoma.
Sincerely,

To Whom it may Concern:I am responding to the complaint filed by [redacted] regarding his purchase of the 1998 Ford Mustanglast 6 of the VIN [redacted].He bought the car on 8/2/2016 for $2201.50 out the door including all fees of transfer and licensing. The car was sold AS IS condition, with no warranties...
or exceptions. we explained this to him and hesigned the AS IS form. (just a side note he did not buy the car on the first day, he test drove threedifferent t imes till he made a decision. He wanted that car the ford mustang. After 1 month of no further communication he comes back to the dealership on 9/2/17 complainingabout the overflow of the car having oil in it. We told him that there is nothing we can do for him otherthan recommend different mechanic shops to him since the car does not over heat nor is there water inthe oil. It might need a flush, but we are not mechanics and he should vi sit a local shop. We alsoexplained to him that the car is sold AS IS and we should not do anything for him. He insisted on tryingto get a different car. So out of our goodwill we said we would give him another car in exchange for hismustang. With the agreement that we get a quote on how much it would approximately cost to fix themustang. and give him a car with the remainder balance. so our mechanic said it would take $1000 to$1300 to fix the mustang back to top shape. do we told Mr. [redacted] this and he said to find him differentoptions with whatever remaining balance he had. he did not want to out money on top nor set up 0%APR in house payment plan in order to get a better replacement car..This process took more the 6 hours and he would not leave without a different car, we even offered$500 towards fixing the mustang and he can fix it and keep it. He said no.This was the only solution we could agree on, and now because we helped him get a different car andtook back the car he broke and we did not have to do that other then us trying to help him out and havegood customer service he trying to get more money out of us, this makes no sense. We explained this all to him before he bought the Volkswagen Bug on 9/2/16 for $840.50.Thank you for your understandingAli SSales MangerWESTCOAST AUTO CENTER
