Review: I dropped my mower off last summer to have belt installed. I was called back and informed there was a small spot on a pulley bracket that needed to be welded. The cost was $300.00 which I felt was a little pricey so I went to pick up my mower. When I arrived a technician told me they were closed and I would have to come back. Several months went by and I forgot to pick up my mower. The growing season was over and I just completely forgot about it. When I released Spring was coming I decided to have them make the repair to the mower rather than have the repair done elsewhere . I called and they told me they threw my mower out. They claimed they called several time but neither my wife or I recall receiving a phone call. I asked couldn't you drop a note in the mail explaining the situation? I would have certainly picked up my mower. Instead, it was disposed of.Desired Settlement: My mower was in very good condition and I would like a cash settlement.so I can have the mower replaced. They claim the mower was not repairable. If that was the case, why would they call with an estimate to repair it.

I am rejecting this response because:
I did come in to pick the mower up on a Saturday and spoke to a tech and he said they just closed. My plans were to take the mower and have it welded and bring it back and have the belt installed.
I feel it's unreasonable to throw out someone's property without making a sincere effort to contact the owner. This was an expensive mower $1100.00 new and I can't believe it was trashed. I have spoken to other repair shop and they said they would never have done something like this. It's false that they claim I declined the repair. I made an effort to pick the mower up but because of the size, I had to get a van to pick it up. A simple note in the mail would have been reasonable.
