West Parke Inn & Suites

We booked rooms for 2 nights at this hotel while in Kinston. Rooms outdated but clean,staff friendly. First night quiet,Saturday night a night-mare !! When we returned back to hotel at 11pm we found 3 young people leaning on our room door,ask them why they were there they would not answer just walked off,multiple people walking up and down the stairs to a room over ours,staying 10-15 minutes and then leaving ! There was more traffic in the parking lot than on the highway.My husband and I were VERY uncomfortable and within 30 minuets the crowd had increased going to this room,I was SCARED at that point,we packed up and left ! I did go to the front desk to tell the clerk to call the police and that we were leaving and she nicely said "have a safe trip". I asked about a refund and she informed me and the other couple who were leaving we must contact the Mgr.I spoke with the manger and told her I had contacted the Kinston police about the situation and that we felt unsafe and there was obviously illegal activity going on and she said she would check in to it and give me a call back. I did speak with the police dept. and local Revdex.com and there have been multiple complaints similar in nature made against this hotel.Desired SettlementTHE OWNER SHOULD BE MADE AWARE (unless he does not care) of the unsafe motel and the practice of renting rooms to people who are questionable, it was so grossly obvious what was going on (not just a party of young people) AND WHEN 2 FAMILIES COMPLAIN AND CHECK OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT HIS STAFF SHOULD HAVE HANDLED THE SITUATION !More info from consumerThe motel has given us a refund, but no contact from mgr./owner as of today, travelers should be made aware of the practice of this motel,and how unsafe it is.
