Review: In response to radio advertisements on NPR in the Spokane area, I followed an add to http://bestofbroadwayspokane.com/1011/default.asp
When arriving at this location, I am given the option to select "New Season Tickets". When that is selected, I am rerouted to http://ev8.evenue.net/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/EVExecMacro?linkID=twcorp&evm=regr&...⇄ />
At this URL, I find a phone number to call to place an order. When I call to place an order for new season tickets, my credit card information is requested, and I was promised a call back within 24 hours to confirm my seating assignments. When I did not receive a call, I called ###-###-####, and spoke with [redacted]. [redacted] told me that there was preferential treatment for those who had been last year's season ticket holders, and in ten days from that call, I would receive another call to give me my seat assignments. About ten days have gone by, and I received a call today from Will at ###-###-####. Will told me that he was calling to let me know that I would not receive my tickets for which I have already given credit card information for until June, because they were going to allow until May 31st, 2013 for prior year season ticket holders to purchase theirs by that date. Then we new customers would receive ours. I have two concerns that are driving me to file this complaint.
1. As a new customer, I question whether their business is legitimate, or if I am being scammed. To me, when I provide my personal credit card information, and am told that I would receive the goods being purchased in 24 hours, then 10 days, then another month, it is concerning as to the legitimacy of the business I am dealing with. Once I have given that credit card information away, an exchange of title of the goods procured should happen.
2. If this business is a legitimate business, it seems a poor practice to discriminate against a younger population. If a business chooses to discriminate against a customer because that customer did not have tickets the prior year is wrong. The customre may not have been able to have purchased the tickets the prior year due to age, employement, or other causes. This seems to be unfair discrimination. It seems that when an advertisement is given to say that tickets are available for purchase, it should be on a first come first serve basis, not based on whether I had been a past customer or not.Desired Settlement: I want written confirmation that in exchange for my credit card information, I will receive the tickets tendered. I understand that seating assignments might fluctuate until the 31st, but I gave up personal financial information, and should be compensated in the form of a written confirmation for the tickets purchased.
