Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I have a copy of the invoice that the technician left. Their web site says that the company offers THE FREE SERVICE FEE, with authorized work completed, otherwise it is $35 service charge ($45 for microwaves, dishwawhers, trash compactors and ice machines). The invoice that the tech left shows that he gave me an estimate of 667.90 +tax. I did not authorize the work, and he charged me $125.00 for coming out and looking at it.I tried multiple times to contact the company but did not receive any return calls or correspondence. I have since placed a stop payment on the check that I had to write to get the technician "[redacted]" out of my house. It is completely FALSE ADVERTISING, and they are putting a bad image out there for the Revdex.com.

Review: This company was able to send a technician right away, the next day (good). However, the technician told me that my washing machine needed a part, which he carried in his truck; I at first declined because of the steep price ($218). He then lowered it to $144, so I said OK. The rinse cycle was broken, and the water was not draining properly. Less than 48 hours later (today), we have the same problem.I called "[redacted]" right away this morning; he looked up my property address and said that the technician ([redacted]) would call me right back to arrange to fix it. By 2:30 pm, I never heard from [redacted]. I called [redacted] to complain, and now have to go through my insurance company, which will mean another 4 day delay and another fee.I told [redacted] I put a "stop payment" on the check and that I was extremely upset and stressed. He didn't seem to care.I don't think this company should have the "Revdex.com" logo on its website home page.

Hello, customer already stoped payment. Thank you
Review: Their site says the service call is $35.00 unless it is for certain appliances. The exception doesn't say garbage disposals, yet I was told I would have to pay more for a garbage disposal repair call even if that wasn't stated in the site.Desired Settlement: They are deliberately making false advertising promises, and when called on it, say it doesn't matter what they say on their site, that's the way it is.
They need to be told to tell the truth and stop misleading and false promises.
Review: My refrigerator was leaking water onto my new wood floors. It is still under warranty, but the warranty people couldn't come out for another 6 days. I called West Coast Appliance Repair and was told that someone could come out today, and that the service call was $35, and that it could be applied to the cost of the repair. The guy came and opened up the bottom panel, poked around for a few minutes, then told me I had to replace both the filter case, as well as the water valve (even though he had not tested them in any way) and that would cost over $600. I told him that it was still under warranty, and that I would call Kitchen Aid to come out and look at it. So he turned the little screw that shuts off water to the ice machine and proceeded to charge me $125!!!! All he did was turn a knob to shut off water. He did not fix, repair, or do anything other than that.I questioned him about the charge, but he said that that was the minimum labor charge. Then he wanted me to sign the invoice that states that "I HEREBY ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE ABOVE SERVICES PERFORMED AND CHARGES APPLIED ARE TO MY SATISFACTION." Really? As soon as he was out the door, I called their office in Costa Mesa. The woman that answered the phone said that I would need to speak with the Service Manager, [redacted]. I was told that [redacted] would phone the technician, and would call me back in 10 minutes. SHE STILL HAS NOT CALLED BACK!!!Desired Settlement: I had to pay the man $125 to get him out of my house, but I would like that amount refunded since he did not repair it. I am more than willing to pay the $35 service charge that I was quoted on the phone, and is listed on their web site.

Review: I contacted West Coast Appliance Repair (WCAR) for service on my refrigerator. The freezer portion was icing up and fan was running frequently and making a very loud noise. The tech responded the next day during the appointed time. He looked in the freezer and within a minute told me the problem was the freezer drawer hinges, causing the freezer to not close properly, and that they would need to be repaired ($350 with no warranty) or replaced ($400 with 90 day warranty). The tech said replacement part would need to be ordered and arrive within 3-5 business days, and I must pay $200 deposit. I specifically asked the tech about the loud, annoying noise the fan was making - whether it could be lessened or remedied while I waited for the part and repair, and also whether the fan running so frequently would necessitate another repair/replacement. He responded no to both inquiries. The following day, the noise became louder and more frequent. In an attempt to quell the noise, I removed the food from the freezer, removed the drawers, and wiped the build of of ice from the back of the freezer wall. This took me about 15 minutes from start to finish. The noise ceased almost immediately. While I was removing the food from the freezer, I found a small loaf of bread had slipped between the front freezer wall and the drawer. I suspected this may be what was causing the freezer not to fully close properly, creating the issue. I decided to wait and see if the problem recurred. I called WCAR promptly and tried to explain the situation and cancel order. I spoke with a woman, later identified as [redacted]. She immediately told me I would have to pay in full for the part. I explained I now doubted the tech's integrity and would stop pay on my check & pay for the service call only. She did not care to listen to my experience or my reasoning for wanting to wait on the repair. Instead she constantly interrupted me and refused to listen. She subsequently called and threatened to refer me to a credit bureau.Desired Settlement: I am willing to pay the service call fee only. I only agreed to ordering the part and subsequent repairs (cancelled, not completed) based on the recommendation of a technician. I have serious doubts regarding the expertise and integrity of the technician, based upon my being able to remedy the noise and ice situation, as well as an easily discoverable potential cause for the problem. I do not feel confident in this business' service. In addition, the response - "customer service" was deplorable

Review: I needed repair work on my refrigerator and washer. I look in the phone book and selected West Coast because they advertise various discounts. When the technician came, he gave me a quote for both appliances (we did not repair the washer because it was too expensive. We did, however, repair the refrigerator (it was pooling water). After I paid the technician, I looked over both bills and could clearly see what they are doing. For the refrigerator he charged me $87.00 for a new defrost timer, $150.00 for labor (for 1/2 hour). He then gave me $53.00 in discounts, but then added $49.99 for drain/defrost service. I would think that charge would be included in the labor charge!! I called the company to complain and was told that the technicians write their own invoices and that the corporate office doesn't know what they are charging for (how absurd is that). Then I look at the estimate for repairing the washer and that's when I really saw what they are doing. The technician would charge $173.00 for a new transmission, $175.00 for labor. He then gave $88.00 in discounts but then added a clutch for exactly $88.00.It appears to me, that they offer discounts and then add bogus charges that are exactly the same amount as the discounts or close to it.Desired Settlement: I want this published because this company is not very honest about their discounts. So, if I need a settlement, I would like to get my $49.99 back for drain/defrost service (which is almost the amount of the so called discounts).

all the pricing technician will give you before he start and he will ask you to sign an estimate before and after he finished, unfortunately no other discounts can be applied, thank you.
Review: The repair man had to visit us three times to fix our ice machine and it still does not work. On the first visit the repair man told me the water valve was bad and he was recommending the drinking valve also due to time, I called the office the next day to cancell the drinking water valve and said someone would call one one did. When the repair man came back to install the parts he said I HAD to replace the part ( he changed his story ). When he returned to install the new parts he would not give me another invoice he said use the down payment one, so I never recieved the revised payment reciept ( that is not legal ). I also asked if someone could come out a 4th time to look at the problem she said there would be a charge to do that. I spent over $ 450.00 to fix my ice machine and it still does not work if I need a ice machine now I would have got a new refridgerator instead of spending $ 750.00. They are rude and play with words and it is hard to understand them.Desired Settlement: I dont trust them so I want to call someone else at this time and want a full refund back.

Hello, the original complain stat : Not making ice ( which means in your case the water does not going thru broken water valve and not making ice cubes ) .The water valve was successfully replaced and now your refrigerator making ice. The second complain was : Ice dispenser does not work ( with means not dispensing ice cubes thru that dispenser ) and it is definitely secondary problem and we never charged you for that. The problem you paid was fixed and no refund can be made. Thank you
Review: I had such a horrible experience with this company and they stole from me. Here is my experience with this horrible company.Made my appoint on Friday after noon for the same day, was told I would have 20% off anything over the $35.00 fee. Friday, January 24th was my appointment date form 5-7pm. Repair man, named [redacted] arrived 5 minutes to 7pm. I asked him to remove his shoes before walking on my carpeted stairs, he refused. He looked around my washer for a few minutes after removing the panels and started a empty load. I told him about what I had occur and the smell that was coming from the washer, he looked at my like I was from a different planet. At first he couldn't find anything wrong and wanted to level. I asked him to find out how much a new seal would be as I would like a new one. It being a front loader it had some mold. He was like "umm, I don't know, like $250." Was he making up his own prices? At that point I had him look again at the washer since I knew something had to be wrong with it since it was not working correctly when I last ran a load. At that point he found that one of the shocks was broken, I thought alright something valid was wrong and I wasn't crazy. I then quoted me $530.00 for this. I told him will need to speak with my husband and would call him to order replacement parts the next morning. He informed me that it would be $35.00 for visit and it would take 10 days to get my washer repaired. He began to stop the washer and drain it. Apparently my drain was not working, so he said I had a clog, without my permission or telling me if there was an additional cost he asked for a bucket. I retrieved a bucket and he used the manual water drainage to release water into my bucket, in which I had to empty out the smelly, gross, dirty water. He put everything back and then told me it was $85.00, since he had to drain the washer. I was speechless and had my young kids sitting with me so I was not about to demonstrate arguing with a strange man in our house while my husband was gone. I made a small mention that I thought it was not worth an additional $50.00, his response was, "ah, okay" still he proceeded to charge that amount. I asked for his managers phone number as I planned to call the company and deal with it outside my house. My experience gets worse with the owner or manager [redacted]. Calling the company right after [redacted] left, I just got a voicemail, since it was after 8pm, I left no message and called first thing in the morning at 7:19AM. [redacted] answered and I explained how I felt scammed and wanted correction to this before I decide to spend a large sum of money and how I want to feel confident. She said she would need to speak with [redacted] at 9Am and would call me back. By 6:15pm, I had not received a call, so I called again. She answered to and told me it was my fault I called and should have asked it he was charging me extra before he drained my washer. I sorry, I didn't realize I needed to know when to ask for a charge outline, which is their job to tell me before it there will be extra charge! So here I am writing a review and wish I would have been more firm not to pay [redacted] any more than $35.00, that part is my bad. But really such bad service and customer service. And no discount was applied as informed by the appointment setter. [redacted] and [redacted] not worth working with.Desired Settlement: I would like to recieve my $50.00 back and have this company be placed on a record.

Review: I called this company 2 months ago for a leaking refrigerator by the water/ice dispenser. The scheduler was quite rude and I probably should have just found another company at that point. The technician [redacted] showed up late to the first appointment and told me the issues with the fridge. I paid him close to $300 for the repair. He had to order parts. I had to continuously follow up with him and he finally came out and fixed it. A few weeks later, the same issue started happening again. I called up (because there is a 90 day guarantee) and again, the scheduler was quite rude. I finally got [redacted] back out to my house and he told me it is a different problem and he would have to charge me. At that time, I let him know that is clearly not the case and it is the same issue. He said he will order parts and call me. 2 weeks went by and I had to keep calling to follow up. He finally called and we set an appointment. He came out and fixed it - or so he said. The same issue happened a week later and I called to ask him to come out again to fix this once and for all. He showed up an hour late. He stuck paper towels into my ice/water dispenser and told me to watch for leaks and he will call in 24 hours to see if there is a leak. No call the next day (last Thursday). I called, he didn't return the call. I called the next day (Friday), he didn't return the call . I called today and spoke to the scheduler. She said she didn't know what to tell me, she told [redacted] to call. I asked that he please call. He called me an hour ago. When I expressed being upset and that this needs to get handled, he called me a [redacted] and hung up on me.Desired Settlement: I paid $300 want the broken refrigerator to be fixed! If they will not fix it, I want my money back.
