Review: On Oct 24th I took my son to the West Anaheim Medical Center. He was sick and was throwing up alot. We got there at 7:45 pm. We gave our insurance information and waited. At around 10 pm he was finally taken in the triage room. Afterwards we had to wait again. He got admitted into a room somewhere close to 1 am. The doctor looked at him and said that since he wasn't dehydrated they are gonna just give him a nausea pill and wait like 15 min to see if he can hold the water down. My son was ok after drinking that water and we left a little after 1 am. When I got the bills that was the shock of my life. I was billed $880.35 for the emergency room and the medical services and another $276.00 for the doctor. Seeing such outrageous bills I called to see why I was billed this large amount and I asked for a detailed bill. When I got the bill I could not understand a thing what was in that bill. I called back and asked why I got billed so much. They told me that the amount billed is what the doctor gave them. When I asked if I can talk to a supervisor or someone higher than the people that answer the phones they told me that there wasn't anyone else to talk to. After my insurance, my bill was supposed to be 669.53 but they continued to bill me for the amount of 713.08, which did not match at all with what my insurance company told me I had to pay.The other bill$ 276 the same thing, insurance says I owe 78.86 but I get the bill for the whole amount. I tried to solve the problem and they told me that the bill is now for collection and now my insurance company is trying to figure out what the clinic did and why they say I have to pay more than what I owe. This place is a joke ! For a pill and a cup of water you bill that much?? Really? Another thing: when I spoke to a girl about my bill(the detailed one that they sent), I asked what does level 3 ER means. She explained that they have levels between 1-5 and my son was a 3, so if he was a 3 why did he had to wait 3 hours to be taken care ofDesired Settlement: I want them to lower the bill or eat it . They had the nerve to get money from my insurance and after that, asked the same amount from me, never taking the 43.55 that they received out of the bill. Is that considered a scam or what??
