Opened a free estate acct with branch mgr don't recall her name. After leaving the bank I realized the mgr forgot to give me my father's death certificate shed left on her copier so I called that mgr to say I'd be back to get it. The death certificate was flat not creased when the mgr took it from me placed it on her copier. The way I expected to get it returned but NO she folded it up in a letter size envelope. Not happy bout that. Then my first statement showed a $15 fee deducted from my free estate acct for the initial electronic payment going into that acct. I asked my sister if she was charged a fee as she too had an estate acct for my mother with chase bank she said NO. This upset me deeply. I called WesBanco and during my conversation with the rep that wasn't the mgr explaining this free estate acct I just opened wasn't so free I said I'm fking pissed that I was charged $15 and the mgr didn't inform me the day I opened the acct that I would be charged. The rep said ok hold on let me find out what I can do. Thinking they'd return my $15. Instead the mgr gets on the line and began by acussing me and defending her poor little rep as though I'd actually cussed her out but it wasn't like that. I was just expressing myself but this mgr wanted to stir the pot with more drama expressing that her rep was more important than a customer? I said I felt I needed to close my acct I came to the wrong bank and she replied yes I think you should do that today still defending the rep but you will be charged a fee for not having it open long enough. Oh great more fees? When I finally went in to close my acct that same rep was there assisting me when I asked if I could have my initial deposit paid separate from my balance in my acct so that rep had the mgr assist her with separating the payment for me when the mgr started up again with the drama. First she was standing on the reps left at the front counter but then suddenly flared up with oh we're not giving you the payment separately you were nasty to my rep I replied claim down why are you getting upset? And she kept on pushing with No you were nasty in front of another customer at the counter...I said what? I didn't even defend myself like I should have. I should have asked the rep if I was nasty to her cause I wasn't. That mgr caused a problem made the problem bigger then what it was where there shouldn't have even escalated to a problem.
I don't think this mgr handled the situation properly or professionally and I think honestly she should be written up for her unprofessional immature behavior.
