Review: Applied for a loan on line with WentWorthreferrals company where if you didn't have any collateral, you had to pay three months payments in advance with the first payment being due by February 2015. I spoke with [redacted], and [redacted]. After I applied for the loan, I was told that all my paperwork seems to be in order and that I was going to receive my loan of $5000.00 in my bank account within 2 to 4 hrs once the collateral payment was made. I sent the money, and when I called to confirm, I was told I had to send more money. I went to the police station to report the scam and [redacted] told the [redacted] that I would be getting my money back but kept changing the time I would be receiving it. When I called back, [redacted] accidentally answered the phone saying she was [redacted] and immediately put me on hold. By the time I realized I was scammed, it was too late to stop the transaction. The company seemed reputable when I looked up the site, but after my bad experience with them, I am assuming the company must have written their own comments about themselves that is posted on line. I sent all the paperwork in and signed a promissory note and the line#2 that states what the penalty is if you don't pay back on time also states something about they have a write to seek additional money. You don't think they are going to rip you off because the statement is tied in with what the penalty cause would be if you are late making your monthly payment. I have faxed over all paperwork plus a copy of the western union transaction sent to an [redacted] so that you can have a better understanding of my complaint.Desired Settlement: I just want my refund back of 484.00 plus the 40.00 transaction fee returned back to me and this company investigated so that they can not continue to scam innocent people due to lack of good credit. I need my money back to pay my bills and it's caused me a financial hardship.
