WellStar Medical Group Urgent Care

I visit urgent care, I did not have insurance at the time and was aware I would pay out of pocket. Person at front desk told me the price of the visit.I paid that price that day. I told her when I go back and see doctor, how will I know if I will be charged extra for anything and she told me the doctor would let me know. I saw doctor and he was not able to tell me what was wrong with my leg, I had a infection. He took a picture of my leg with his phone and wrote me a prescription and I left. I received a letter from Wellstar billing saying I owed $55. I did not understand how I owed that when I paid in full in my visit and the doctor did not do anything to require a extra charge. Billing told me they would reach out to the urgent care as the middle person and I would hear back. I never heard back and I even called the urgent care myself and ask to speak to office manager and never heard back after I left a voicemail. I even called Wellstar billing again and ask to speak to supervisor, they claimed I would heard back in 72 hours and I never did. The bill end up getting sent to bill collector and I call well star billing again and they claim they could not do anything. I also call the urgent care myself and ask to speak to manager I finally got her to call me back and she claim the doctor made a mistake and she will reach out to credit collector so that it is taken off my account and I would hear back in two days so that my bill coding would be corrected. She told me she the doctor probably coded my bill incorrect. That was three weeks ago and I have yet to hear back. I even called again and they said the office manager would call me back and she never did. I do not know what type of business practices wellstar has but they are terrible and very unprofessional. My credit has now been negatively affected on behalf of their mistake that has not been corrected. I can never get in contact with anyone. Terrible business.
