Wells Fargo Dealer Services

I had a loan for a 2014 Jeep Grant Cherokee with Wells Fargo Dealer Services. I paid this loan off on July 5, 2020, with a balance due of $8375.00. The check (check ***) cleared my bank on 7/15/20. Since this date, I have received nothing from Wells Fargo proving that I have paid this loan off. They sent me on a wild goose chase for my title, but will not provide me with a lien release so that I can apply for a lost title. I have made numerous phone calls to their customer service department, all ending with promises to receive the lien release that never comes. At this point, they are costing me money as I sold the vehicle weeks ago, but cannot finalize that deal as I don't have the title, and can't apply for a lost title. I am still paying full coverage insurance, and the value/sale is for $13,000 which they are preventing me from receiving due to their negligence and incompetence. They acknowledge that the account has been paid in full (they probably owe me a few dollars), but seem unable to provide proof of payoff. After 5-6 phone calls over the past couple months, I have come to the conclusion that the only way to get someone's attention, is to file a complaint so other consumers can make an informed decision on who they choose to provide their auto loan business to.
