I brought my pristine vehicle in with some slight curb rash to the right rear wheel on 2/19, to Wellis Inc. in St. Charles, IL for cosmetic repair and to have all four wheels stripped, straightened, and repainted from silver to black. New tires were also to be mounted, and I sent four new Continental tires to the shop through T I had spoken to the owner, Warren E several times before committing my resources to this company. He was cordial and the majority of the online reviews were glowing. Upon arriving, Warren was not present and I left the vehicle with an employee named Ferdie. He told me that the wheels would be finished that day, and if not then, by tomorrow at the latest. My wheels were finished on 2/21, and upon arriving at the shop, the first thing I noticed was that my front right wheel was not completely painted like the rest. Another employee, Eddie, agreed that it needed to be fixed, and discounted my bill for the problem. Eddie gave me his personal mobile to text or call if I needed anything and I did - to which he never responded. I asked Eddie on 2/21 to completely paint the entire wheel, as Warren promised me they did on a phone call on 2/20 at 15:05. I stressed that all the wheels should be completely painted and he assured me that they would be this time. On 2/26, Warren assured me everything was fixed and that he would drive it to his home in South Elgin to meet me, so I did not have as far of a drive. I picked the vehicle up from that location at 18:28, and drove home. Inspecting the car in the daylight the following morning 2/27, I noticed that there were hundreds of deep scratches in the left rear wheel that were painted over, ceramic coating that was incorrectly and carelessly applied, and many wheel weights indicating that that the wheels were not straightened correctly. The owner dismissed me with with a quick text message, and two calls made to me during times that I said I was unavailable to speak. I paid $600 cash for this poor and inadequate service.
