February 17, 2017Dear MsButts:.I am responding to your letter dated February 13, This is the first notice we received of this complaint Our office received a call from our insured, *** ***, on January 16, regarding a claim We transferred her call to her insurance
carrier, *** *** *** They took her report and assigned the claim to *** *** The phone numbers that she mentions in her complaint, are for the claim department in the ***, and *** ***'s direct line *** advised *** ***on January 19, that there was no coverage for her plumbing claim We don't have a record of her calling our office again until January 24, and she was told by *** that the claim is not covered One of our agents discussed with her the type of policy that would cover [unreadable] for water damage from plumbing, but since the cost is approximately double what she pays now, she did not want it Weber Insurance Corpis *** ***'s agent As I stated before, the carrier is *** *** *** Weber cannot send an adjuster out That is done by the company Since there was no coverage for the plumbing leak, the company did not send out an adjuster I have included a copy of the loss report from *** *** *** and also a copy of the denial letter sent to *** *** Please let me know if you need any thing further Regards, Barbara W
