I would like to address the specific concerns voiced by the customer:1.  The original vehicle was not purchased from Weber Ford.  It was purchased from [redacted].2.  Any recall issues are the responsibility of Ford Motor Company.  The dealership repairs the vehicles, but we...

are not responsible for the defects in manufacturing.3.  The letter mention is not a "Spot Delivery Scam".  It was a letter targeting the previous customers of [redacted].  We offered a discount price on a new vehicle, and a fair appraisal of any trade in, often resulting in lower payments.  4.  The customer selected a vehicle, and agreed on a price.  We submitted her application to various lenders in order to obtain financing.  Due to her credit history, the lenders approved the credit application at a higher rate of interest.  5.  We do not drive potential trade-in vehicles.  At the most, we would move the vehicle from the front of the dealership to a holding area in the rear of the dealership.  6.  We in no way "hassled" the consumer.  We mailed a letter via US Mail, and she contacted us with interest in a new vehicle.  Unfortunately, she was unable to afford the payments.  We are not able to predict any recalls that the manufacturer may make, and we do not make claims otherwise.Out of goodwill to the customer, we are mailing her a check for $25.00 today.  This amount should cover the cost of fuel several times over for driving from Edwardsville to Granite City.
