Failure to carry out agreed to replacement of weather trim on car.
We bought a used car (Mazda CX-5) with this dealership. They were very nice initially and promised to replace the window weather trim which was old and faded. After the purchase they refused to carry out this agreed to repair and ignored further contact. The agreement to replace the weather trim was shown to me in writing before purchase.

Furthermore, upon taking the car for an oil change, it took 3 hours. Very poor quality and unorganized staff who were disrespectful. This drove us to finally submit this complaint.

Purchase date: 4/18/20.

Serial #: JM3KE2DY4GXXXXXXX

Desired Outcome

Replace the window weather stripping trim as agreed to before purchase.

Messaged the dealer, talked to Samantha and told her I accept the Internet offer. She said she was putting me in contact with a sales manager. I received a call from Ifeanyi, he said the sales manager asked him to call me.
New price over the phone $62,000. He said the price difference was due to tags, title and registrations fees. I told him I'd register the vehicle, get the tags and pay the taxes.
New price over the phone $58,000. After the call I received a text from Ifeanyi, "We can't do 49K on that telluride".

Misleading Customer to Get Sale
Promises of Refi But Run Around
Use Bad Finance Company Several Class actions
I have always wanted a Kia, so when I got my disability I went to Atlanta Kia West (Formally Thornton Road Kia) In July 2015, I purchased a basic car from Atlanta Kia West (thornton Road). Per my finance person I paid $5k down. My interest rate was high 24.9, but my finance person told me and my husband to keep it from 6 to 18 months to improve my credit and come back. They will refi me. I have gone back more than 4 times and I have gotten the run around. Dishonest just to make a sale. The financing bank is Santander Consumer, which has several class action lawsuits against them. I recently pulled my account and out of $24K paid on the car $4K has gone to principal, I have asked that my account be reviewed, but no word from Santander even after I supplied a spreadsheet showing disparities in how they apply payments. I would not be in bed with Santander if it was not for Atlanta West Kia (formally Thornton Rd Kia). I have tried to refi the car or trade the car, but everyone is telling me that I got a bad deal. One Dodge dealer told me that this is the worst loan that anyone could have gotten. I am stuck, because of dishonesty. I have even filed a complain with Kia USA, but they say that this Kia dealership is independently own, but they will pass *** complain to Atlanta West Kia this was over a week ago but no word. This is sad. I love Kia cars but I continue to feel taken advantage of.

Desired Outcome

Help with Refi by using some incentive to get out of Santander Comsumer preditory loan.. The car was finance for $17.6K I still owe $13K. My payments are current. I show exceptional on credit report. i need for Kia to do what they said that they would do. I need help

Customer Response • Jun 18, 2020

The dealership contacted me and they were able to get me out of the preditary loan with Santander and put me in a new car as of 6/17/20.

I went to this dealership in response to a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland Turbo Diesel that was listed for sale online. When I arrived, I learned that this was one of the managers' old vehicle that he traded in. The vehicle seemed ok except that it had some significant shaking in the front end when driving above 60 mph. I brought my mechanic in to check it out for me and he suggested that the dealership take a look at the shaking before I purchased. Before this however, there was a misunderstanding about the 10 year 100,000 mile limited power train warranty. We were told that this meant from the time of the car's manufacturing instead of the time of purchase but we were able to get that worked out, no biggie. They took the car to the back to get it fixed and we began the purchasing paperwork. Taking a look at the paper work, I noticed that the interest was at 5.9 which was well above what I knew our credit would qualify for. So I asked the salesman to see if they would take that down to 4.9. When he went back to the sales desk, I heard a man yelling, "6%, 6%! That's what he's gonna get!" I thought this was really unprofessional and disrespectful but I tried to ignore it. I also asked if they could potentially knock a little off the price to which the same guy yelled "6%!" And someone else yelled "What does he want?" Or something to that effect. Then I noticed that they were charging me an extra $150 for "nitro" in the tires and an extra $400 for tint that was already on the Used Jeep when I saw it on the website and when I arrived and saw it on the lot. How could these be additions to a price that was already set for the already assembled tinted windows and inflated tires? When I told the salesman that I wouldn't pay extra for things that were already on the Jeep and he relayed the message to the finance guys, I heard the guys yell "Well scrape it off then!" At that point I'd had enough and called for a Lyft. When the salesmen saw that I was leaving he quickly went back and told them that I was offended and they quickly and quietly changed the offer to 4.9% without the added charges for the tinted windows and inflated tires. I canceled the Lyft (paying a $6 cancelation fee) and accepted the offer and completed all of the paper work including turning in the down payment check.

Well, after signing all the papers and having the car in the back for about 2 1/2 hours, my salesman told me that they discovered that there was a problem with the tires that was missed in the original inspection and that they would fix the problem ASAP.

About an hour or so later, the salesmen told me that the service center was closing and that he was instructed to tell me that they would not be able to fix the problem that night since the service center was closing but that I should drive the car for a while to see if the problem would fix itself. Tired of the run around I asked to speak to the manager who previously owned the car. He came and told me that he'd recently purchased those tires 7 months before and that the tires had "flat spots" from sitting for three months which were causing the shaking and that I would need to drive the car for at least XXX-XXX miles in order to correct the flat spots. If they weren't fixed by then, then I could bring the car back and they'd fix the problem. After hearing this extremely strange and contradictory advice, I asked my salesman to return my down payment checks and shred my paperwork with my information. As I was leaving the dealership another manager followed me outside and asked if I would be willing to split the cost of new tires on the Jeep in order to salvage my business. He said that they would go back there and throw some tires on it for me if I'd split the cost. The problem was that this was the third solution I'd been promised. First I was told that they would fix it at no cost to me. Then I was told that they were unable to fix it because the service center was closed so I "should" drive the car to see if that would fix the problem. Then I was told that I would "have" to drive it XXX-XXX miles in order to see if it would fix the problem before they fixed it. Lastly I was told that splitting the cost of new tires would promptly fix the problem; even though the service center was CLOSED... This was the worst example of shark, predatory, deceitful, salesman-ship that I've ever experienced. This dealership lost a very-very nearly completed sale because they could not abandon their own persistent dishonesty.

Atlanta West Kia is the Absolute WORST dealership ever. I purchased a 2015 Sedona brand new from them. Recently the head gasket cracked and ruined the engine. It was still under warranty, so we were not too worried. WOW was I wrong. My vehicle was left there on July 11th, the new engine was not ordered until August 22nd. I finally was told my vehicle was ready to be picked up on August 31st (this was after many, many phone calls, emails, text, ect... requesting updates). When I arrived on August 31st to get my vehicle, it had been wrecked. There was a huge dent in the back that they acted like they didn't know was there. When I asked what happened, no one seemed to know. They asked if I wanted to take the vehicle and bring it back later to be fixed. Of course I said NO and then had to wait another week to get my vehicle back so it could go to the body shop for repairs. Quincey, the service manager, was rude and very obviously did not care about the customer. I will never, ever purchase another KIA.

I have asked to stop receiving emails, and I unsubscribe and they change their email address, and continue to send
There work practices are substandard, they dont make things right and they cost me more then if I took my vehicle over to another dealership. I could spend 100 in gas and would still save money.

Desired Outcome

For the 23rd time, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE stop contacting me!!!

If you want an honest deal don't come here. They advertise a lower price online to get you in the door only to tell you that you don't qualify for the rebates (which they don't accurately depict online) They then try to make it seems as if they are helping you adding a little more discount here and there. That's only to tack on erroneous charges such as nitrogen, window tints and a paint coat to make it up on the back end. The fact that they charge you for the air in the tires ( lying as if it gets the car better mileage or helps tires from season to season) and their chosen cosmetic upgrades is nefarious. Save your time, go to a dealership who will not put bogus charges on their bill of sale to get your money.

This Dealership sold a BMW 535i at the auction. The odometer reading had been tampered with. The transmission was damaged. The ABS Braking system, was bad. I towed the car to their premises 10 days ago and demand refund based on fraudulent practices. I have not heard from them. I planned to call the FBI.

Desired Outcome

I want a refund of money paid, towing and battery bought. Plus auction and third party dealer fees. Total amount of $4500.

On March 8th I took my car up to Kia for an oil pressure light being on. Kia asked to keep the car for a few days as they were unsure on what the issue was. Per the Customer Service Rep., they (Kia) would pay for my rental car. this turned out not to be true as I had to pay for it. On March 11th I called to get an update on the car and was told the tech was out sick. and they would call me on Weds. with an update. Weds came and went and I received no call from Kia. When I called again on March 14th said the tech was still out sick and he would call me at noon with an update. Well you can guess what. Again, no call. I called at 5pm and couldn't reach anyone. When I called on Saturday March 16th I was able to get ahold of the Service Manager Rhonda Prior who was at the time very helpful but quickly turned into the same case where I couldn't reach her and all I got was excuses. Finally got an answer that Kia had to order a small block engine and they would have ready by April 2nd. Ok not what I wanted to hear but willing to work with them. April 2nd came and went and still no car. On April 4th Tried reaching Rhonda and couldn't. When I called up to Kia they had no records of anything and surprise surprise the tech..you guessed it'.out sick. That tech is out more than he is there working. On April 6th Rhonda contacted me and said she was out with her kids for spring break which is fine but why not update the account? Why is there no notes on the account'? She proceeded to tell me they they needed to order some lag bolts to keep the heads tight. My first thought was how do you not know what you need'? How can you forget something like this? Is this just another excuse? So, car was suppose to be ready on April 9th, I asked for another rental car which I was told oh Enterprise is saying they are out of cars, yet when I called, I was able to get one right away. Another rental I had to pay for. Now here we are on April 12th still no update from Kia, still no car and still no answers from Kia. I am beyond frustrated at this point with the level of service I have got from Kia. I understand it takes time and all I want is the truth. If you tell me it's going to be ready, I fully expect it to be. If an issue comes up and it won't be is it really that hard to call or send a message saying it won't be ready and here is why'?

I went to pick up the car on saturday 4-27-19 as I was told it was ready. Well first off the car wouldn't start and after further inspection there was a missing bolt that held the ac unit in place along with some cut wires. I did not accept the car and showed them what was wrong. This is not how the car was when I brought it in, so the technican clear is not paying attention to details on what he is doing. When I asked to speak to the tech I was told again he was not there. Yet again the same trend as before. I email the service manager Rhonda Prior. I did not hear back from her till Monday morning which is fine as i'm sure she was off saturday. She said she would call me by noon with an update and thanked me for reaching. Well noon came and went and no call from Kia. Big surprise there. Then today as I was filling out this report I see where my previous case has been closed with no resolution to it. So how can it be closed? At this point and the level of service Kia has shown I can honestly say it's not been a pleasure to do any kind of business with Kia

Desired Outcome

Repair I just want the vehicle fixed the way it was brought to them in good working order. I would like better updates from Kia. Maybe Kia needs to take a course in better customer service.

Customer Response • May 02, 2019

Consumer indicated they have heard from the company and the company resolved their complaint

This was Thornton Road Kia who had an F rating with the Revdex.com for good reason! I had bad experiences with them charging me for work never done, refusal to allow me to speak to a manager, refusal to turn in my mileage for the legal settlement on my vehicle model and more. I have repeatedly asked them to STOP contacting me but they REFUSE! I sometimes get more than one call a day, constant "offers" via mail and email and there appears to be NO way to get them to STOP! BEWARE!!!!
