Review: I purchased a set of passport photos from this business for $24.33 (incl. tax). Upon presenting them to the Passport Agency next door, they were rejected due to their poor quality (out of focus and not sufficient white background due to a lighter strip on the left side of the picture). As this visit to the Passport Agency is an appointment-based service, I ended up missing my appointment, as I had to take another set of pictures. I returned to the Passport Photo Store to discuss this issue. The man there was extremely aggressive and stated that there was no possible reason why the agency would refuse these pictures. He told me that I should return to the agency and "request a written explanation why they refused these pictures!!" I told him that I was not interested or prepared to argue with the U.S. Passport Agency as to why they would not accept out-of-focus pictures; or certainly request something in writing for the photo store next door! The person got more aggressive and told me that there are no refunds, as the receipt states. I told him that this is unacceptable service and I would like him to provide a solution. He asked me what I wanted him to do. I replied, to refund my money. He repeated that this is not possible. I then said that, in the alternative, if he is unwilling to refund money for a service that he isn't able to provide for which I paid, at the very least, he can take another picture so that I could use it in the future somewhere else. After refusing to take another picture, he then said that he would need to charge me more money! At that point, I contacted my credit card and disputed the charge. I ripped up the pictures and left them with him. When I told him that I reported this transaction to the credit card company, he stated "good luck with that."This company is located next door to the U.S. Passport Agency. It is unbelievable that for $23.44 this man decided to not only refund the amount, but refused to provide ANY solution to this issue.Desired Settlement: If he is selling pictures to be used for a specific purpose, and those are not acceptable by the U.S. government agency, he should attempt to remedy the situation. I even offered to accept a new set of pictures which he refused to provide. If he was of good faith, and saw that not only did he provide a set of unacceptable pictures (he requested payment PRIOR to presenting the pictures), but he severely inconvenienced a customer by missing an appointment, he would try to makes things right.
