Wash & Shine

Review: This is a car washing service. They do a good job; it is why I use them. On June 2, when I brought the car in and asked for it to be washed, I was told that there would be an extra charge of $5 as the car was particularly dirty. I objected, pointing out that there was nowhere on the menu of services a charge for particularly dirty cars. I was told that my choice was to pay the $5 or go away. I chose to pay. While waiting for the car I examined more closely the menu. There was indeed an "extra" on it - not otherwise defined, The amount was $3. I questioned the $2 difference with the cashier (who was unfailingly polite and courteous. I was told that it was $5.

I can afford the extra $5, that is not the point. I object to having unspecified charges levied on me. I also object to being charged a price different from that on the menu of offerings.Desired Settlement: That the business change the price lists - both those posted on the walls and those given to the customer. And that the difference between the actual charge and that shown on the price list be put in sync. And that there be rather more info as to the circumstances that produce extra charges
