[redacted] This is in response to Revdex.com Complaint ID: [redacted] I received a letter from the Revdex.com dated 10/29/informing me of a complaint by a former patient who started treatment in our office but then transferred to another orthodontist when they moved out of state The complaint stated that they wished to receive a partial refund because they had paid upfront but treatment was not complete when they moved I was unaware of the issue prior to receiving the letter, so I spoke with my financial coordinator and she informed me that the patient’s mother had requested a partial refund and that she had responded via email that she would check with me and then let her know Unfortunately, we never got back to her with a response and for this I apologize This was a failure of communication on our part Normally it is our policy to give partial refunds when a patient moves away and treatment is not complete I have since contacted the parents to explain what happened and apologize We also worked out a solution and I have sent a check to the patient’s parents for a partial refund The father was very kind and understanding and expressed that this would fix the problem Thank you for informing me of this issue and allowing me to remedy the problem Sincerely, [redacted] DMD, MS Ward Orthodontics

I received a letter from the Revdex.com dated 10/29/14 informing me of a complaint by a former patient who started treatment in our office but then transferred to another orthodontist when they moved out of state. The complaint stated that they wished to receive a partial refund because they had paid upfront but treatment was not complete when they moved. I was unaware of the issue prior to receiving the letter, so I spoke with my financial coordinator and she informed me that the patient’s mother had requested a partial refund and that she had responded via email that she would check with me and then let her know. Unfortunately, we never got back to her with a response and for this I apologize. This was a failure of communication on our part. Normally it is our policy to give partial refunds when a patient moves away and treatment is not complete. I have since contacted the parents to explain what happened and apologize. We also worked out a solution and I have sent a check to the patient’s parents for a partial refund. The father was very kind and understanding and expressed that this would fix the problem.
Thank you for informing me of this issue and allowing me to remedy the problem.
Sincerely,
