Walt's Portable Buildings, Inc.

Horrible experience! DO NOT USE THEM! We used them to build our Pole Barn home. The finished product is terrible. I am embarrassed to have people come to our home. They screwed the metal on too tight and it all looks like a crumpled up coke can. We called and asked them to come out and see if they thought it was acceptable to them. Two of them came, including Walt himself, and agreed that is was a bad job and said they would do what it took to make us happy. During the process of negotiating an fair price decrease, we found out they had put a lien on our entire property. This all the while knowing several places in the metal was not even screwed in completely! They basically bullied us into paying more than the job was worth. Now, several months later we still not received the screws they were supposed to send us to match so that we can finish their job. also now were the porch metal meets the house metal is leaking in spots because is wasn't done correctly. I would not recommend them to anyone...ever! Not very "preacher" like if you ask me.

I called a couple of weeks ago and described what kind of building I wanted and even told them of a picture on their website that was exactly what I wanted in form and size except I wanted a taller center roofline height. They took my name, address and email and told me they'd mail me a quote. Waited more than a week and called again. Was told they had no record of my previous request and apologized for the mistake. Took all the information again and told me they'd expedite a quote. Waited. Waited. Called again yesterday and was told "I've got it right here in front of me, it's almost done."

Today, still nothing. I am not waiting any longer for an estimate, I'm going to give my business to a company that WANTS it.

Had a pole barn built by Walt's. Their contractor put building (code violation) in wrong spot (contractor decided where to put it on cleared area). Now we have to move it. Several attempts were made to work with Walt's and they refused. Note: even though Walter (owner) stated that to make a customer happy he would do whatever it takes. Guess that is not true. To this date; Walt's will NOT honor their work. Pole barn is not usable due to violation.

I went to Walt's Buildings in Lafayette, TN for an estimate They told me they would call me with a price shortly I waited over weeks and emailed them and they said they were waiting on pricing from their supplier I waited another weeks and emailed and called without the courtesy of a reply
If I were in the building business, I would get my prices and contact my customer which is NOT something this business is interested in doing
I would suggest that you deal with another company!
