first of all the vehicle got towed to us and we found that the timing belt had broken and vehicle was out of timingthis is an interference engine and when timing belt breaks usually damages enginefurthermore when a vehicle is out of timing with a broken timing belt, u cannot perform a
compression test on that vehicle cause the timing is off and pistons will hit valves in other cylinders and cause further damage to engine the only way to get to bottom of this was to replace the timing components and get the car back to proper timing to perform compression test , or remove the top half of engine and dis assemble the cylinder heads at an even greater expense to customer because it would have cost over $in laborso we gave the customer the option and he was informed ahead of time and we explained everything to himthe customer opted for us to install timing belt components and even asked us not to install a new water pump which is the procedure when replacing timing belt on that vehicle in the event the engine was bad and may need replacement somewhere along the line some wanna be mechanic gave customer wrong information about the compression test and now customer thinks he was taken advantage ofas far as we are concerned we followed correct procedures and gave customer good adviseat this time we are sorry that customer feels taken advantage of but we did everything we could for him thank you
