RE: Complaint
with Revdex.comWe’d like to
apologize for giving you such a late response.
We had received your complaint from Revdex.com on February 9th.Although we
understand your frustrations on what happened we have no control on the
scheduling of vendors we put on the job. In fact, we try to get...
responses of at
least 2 vendors on each situation and try to pick the one that can go the
quickest.When you rent,
it doesn’t mean that everything in your rental will be working all the
time. Also, it doesn’t mean that
everything that breaks can be fixed instantaneously. We don’t have specialized workers that can
be deployed 24/7. We have to call to
make appointments and we have to wait until the vendor can do the job. Vendors also are regular people. They have regular hours and if they’re good,
are always busy. Sometimes, we are lucky
and the vendor can go right away…but that is very rare. When something
in your unit breaks, we would hope you use common sense and try to remediate
your situation until the problem in solved.
For example, if your sink is leaking, you would put a pot under the sink
to catch the leak, or won’t use the sink. Just like a
refrigerator. If it stops working, many
of our tenants go to the store and buy coolers and ice and save their perishables. I certainly did when my refrigerator went
out. Going through
our records, it showed that we received your email on Thursday, November 19th at 3:09 PM. We left messages with 2 of our
vendors that afternoon. On Friday, November 20th we received calls from one of the vendor that
no appointments were open for that day or Monday but, and our other vendor had
an opening on Monday. I called and left
a message with [redacted] that afternoon. On Monday, February 23, we emailed [redacted]
to follow up.We are
required to respond to repairs to the tenants within 3 days of the
notification, which our office complied to.
We really tried to get the vendors there earlier! Therefore, we’re sorry that your request of a $150.00
credit has been denied. We deal with
the people in the office of these appliance companies and have no control of
which of their technicians they send to each job. Therefore, the comment you
mentioned concerning your conversation with the technician is beyond me because
I spoke to the person that makes their schedule. Sincerely,Waikiki Realty
