On 9/16/2011, I had a third function valve (by; WR Long Inc. Tarboro, NC) installed on my Kubota MX 5100 tractor.Cost was $780.39 Two weeks after using my tractor, I began to have hydraulic fluid leaks at the third function valve, which required the tractor to be picked up for service and repaired.Subsequently my tractor has been back to [redacted] Ma. XXXXX Tel: XXX-XXX-XXXX on four more occasions for repairs to the third function valve.Last year, I contacted Mr.[redacted] regarding this ongoing problem. He assured me his company would stand behind their product, and resolve the problem with [redacted].He further dtated that he would send a new aluminium block at no cost for replacement.Two weeks ago the third function valve again malfunctioned and developed a hydraulic leak at the same location on the valve. [redacted] picked up the tractor and made repairs to the leaking valve. New O rings and lock tight on thr threads of the valve. Total charge $375.I called Mr. [redacted], at W R long, and he kept repeating to deal with my Kubota dealer and not to call him. He did not want to discuss my issue and kept saying deal with your dealer.I don't want to listen to your fussing.I also was told by [redacted] thst WR Long did not supply the new block free of [redacted] covered the replacement cost.When I asked Mr. [redacted] about our agreement; he simply replied, talk to your dealer.Product_Or_Service: 3rd function valveAccount_Number: XXXXXXXDesired SettlementI want half of the cost of the valve $390 plus $375 for the latest repair cost.Business Response Case# XXXXXXXXCould not answer sooner. Long Valve. (Warranty) no charge to customer Repair Leak in W.R. Long, Inc. Valve. Replace O-Ring. Possible cause, sharp blow from outside source (unknown). Valve kit out of warranty period by 2 1/2 years. Customer charged for repairs. Consumer Response Third function valve in question has been problematic since installation when we bought the tractor new.I would be happy with 50% reimbursement for the last repair cost of $375.
