Review: A verbal and written understanding regarding a contract for a block of rooms was obtained from the W Hotel - Downtown representative [redacted] on May [redacted] with the written expectation of formal contract to follow. The above mentioned employee then left the organization and no contract was received. When the Hotel was re-contacted on August [redacted] with failure to repsond, and then successfully contacted on August [redacted], and stated that they accept that the above had transpired but that all blame for failure to procure a contact falls on this consumer; that although the W Hotel failed to provide a written contract as specified that the consumer should have contacted them eariler to resolve the issue. As such the new representative will not honor the aforementioned verbal contract and has reissued a quote with a new, higher, rate.Desired Settlement: A contract issued with the originally quoted pricing in effect.
