Volcano Village Bungalows

I booked this hotel on October 12, 2019. I was aware that the cancellation policy was 85% back if 31 days or more. I cancelled last week, more than 60 days prior to arrival. I received a voucher for 100%. I responded that I wanted the cash back, as per contract. I was told that only vouchers are being given. On their website it is still stating that I will receive back 85% for bookings after May 31st, which mine is (mine is for July 14th). They stated that their parent company, Emma Spencer Living is directing them to give 100% in vouchers. My wife and I called them at 808-600-8092 and my wife spoke with Liz H. She stated that due to the hospitality industry's current situation they are all giving vouchers and we are getting back more than we are entitled to. My wife said it states in our contract and on their website that we would get 85% cash. Liz asked where it stated cash. She read it. She said it does not state cash or credit refund. My wife told her that is sneaky and it does not state voucher either. We would never book anything that would give back a voucher. (I am currently 2 1/2 years cancer free but am still in remission and make sure that everything I book can be cancelled). I was standing with my wife throughout the call and am in complete shock they would play a game like this.
