In the matter of complaint #[redacted], I received the following email this morning from the owner of the business VitaminGrocer.com:[Quote:]
[redacted], Thank you for contacting us. I am an owner of the company and I am very sorry to hear about your experience. I have sent $17.49 CAD to your [redacted] account to cover the return shipping costs. The [redacted] transaction ID is [redacted]. In addition, please allow me to explain what happened in this case. We have no record of any contact from you in our [redacted] message center. The [redacted] message center is where we handle all customer inquiries regarding [redacted] purchases. [redacted] policy - [redacted] - states that buyers should contact sellers through [redacted], not other outside channels. After some digging, I found that you did attempt to contact us through our [redacted] email address - [redacted]. We do not regularly check this email for customer inquiries. [redacted] sends all invoices and sales confirmations to this website (hundreds a day) and it is inefficient for merchants to sift through all of these messages to find customer inquiries. That is why the [redacted] message center is the designated method of communication for [redacted] buyers and sellers. To the extent that this was not made clear to you, I deeply apologize. We will revise our [redacted] confirmation email to make it clear that all communication should be directed through [redacted]. I am deeply sorry for the trouble this has caused you and I assure you that this is highly abnormal for our business. Our [redacted] account is over 5 years old and we have processed over 50,000 transactions. Through all of that sales volume, we have maintained a 99% positive feedback. I hope that you will trust that this was an isolated incident and refrain from proceeding with your Revdex.com complaint or spreading the word to others that we are a disreputable company. I wish you all the best. Regards, [redacted] [End quote.] I responded today:

Thank you for your reply below. Your explanation is satisfactory and I appreciate the refund for shipping.
I suspect the email from [redacted] during their investigation may also have been lost in that way; not sure. I was told they tried contacting you, although perhaps by phone. [redacted] said they could not reach you.
I would also suggest that having a physical address on your website would give better confidence in potential customers. I could only find your address at the Revdex.com site.
I have made a complaint to the Revdex.com prior to receiving this email just now. I will cancel my complaint with them. It has not been posted yet, to my knowledge.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
[End quote.]I consider the matter resolved. Thank you for your time.
