I took my vehicle to get an advertising vehicle wrap removed and there was damage to the paint of my vehicle. Vendor did not think they were liable.Four years ago, we had an advertising wrap installed on our [redacted]. We were told at the time that it would not damage the paint when it was removed. When we had the wrap removed, paint came off on several places around the van. The vendor stated that they were not liable. After conducting research on other vendors who install/remove wraps, I found that the industry standard, was that the wrap when removed would not damage the paint, if done by a professional. This vendor considers themselves professionals, but do not want to be responsible for the paint damage. I sent the vendor a letter by certified mail and return receipt on 6 March 2015. I asked for them to pay for the damages ($627.30), in addition to a rental car for 4 days ($120.00). I asked them to respond by 20 March 2015. As of this date, there has been no response from them. I feel that they should pay for the damages that they did.Desired SettlementI am seeking funds for the damage to the paint of my van and for the rental car I will have to obtain for four days while it's in the shop. The paint job will be $627.30 and the rental car will be approximately $120.00.
