Review: I purchased a pair of eyeglasses from Vision Care Specialists on 2/19/13. Today is 6/17/13 and I still do not have eyeglasses that I am happy with. The eyeglasses I bought are a Revolution pair that has a magnetic sunglass clip-on. I paid 268.00 for these frames and submitted to insurance for the balance. My left lense needed to be replaced because the doctor reduced my rx. The new lense came in and Vision Care Spec. cut the lense and bent my frames putting the lense in. The clip-on sunglasses did not work or fit after the frames were bent and the technician scratched the sunglass clip-on when she tried to bend them. They ordered a new pair for me but they came in a different color than the original pair I picked out. They told me they would contact the Revolution rep. I have been in their place of business at least 8 times during this ordeal. I called them on 06/12/13 and asked if they were able to set up the appointment with the rep. They can't get reach the rep. Apparently, the frames are now discontinued. I asked for a refund. They refused. They won't give me credit for a new pair of glasses. I was told that I need to live with the bent frames and the sunglass clip-on that doesn't match in color. This is not what I paid for. I did not damage the frames or the clip-on - their technician did. I do not recommend this place of business.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund for the frames that were damaged by the technician at Vision Care Specialists.

Re: ID # [redacted]
This is in response to the above complaint filed by one of our patients.
Patient had an eye exam on October 6, 2012 and purchased glasses two months later through her insurance company.
We adjusted her prescription per her request 6 months after her original exam (April 2013) at no further cost to her.
At that time patient was not happy with the way the sunglass clip fit on her frame after we inserted her new lens. We tried to adjust the clip but she was still not satisfied, No scratches were present at this time and we would definitely have noticed that. We were never made aware of this allegation until very recent conversations.
We offered to order her a whole new frame and clip, which we did at no further cost to her. When the new frame came in the color was a little different due to dye-lot variations. We also had another frame on our board, which we offered to her, but again, the color was a little different and patient did not want to change her frame or her clip even though they all fit exactly the same.
The frame manufacturer representative offered to come in and resolve her issues in any way he could, but a suitable time was unable to be established by both parties.
Our contention is that her issues are with her insurance company since all lab work is done by them off premises. As for any fees we collected from her, they are deducted from us by her insurance company to pay for lab fees.
Our doctor went so far as to call her insurance company on her behalf and they agreed to reinstate her insurance benefits for a new pair of glasses.
Furthermore, there is nothing wrong with her frame or the prescription in it. Her issues are with the way the clip fits on the frame and that is a manufacturing style-out of our control.
We feel we have gone above and beyond for this patient and have no further obligation to her.
Cordially,
Vision Care Specialists

I am rejecting this response because:
1) I purchased the eyeglasses on 2/19/13 and have a cancelled check.
