Please take the advice all of us didn't - do not expect to be able to use your Citi Purchase protection benefits. This company does not actually review claims - they only give drawn-out blanket denials. They invoke clauses that are not even relevant to the claim. They are fraudulent. I would avoid all Citi products altogether, given that this is who they choose to do business with.
Under AutoNation of Spokane windshield insurance policy I purchased with my new truck. I made a claim and was denied for no good reason. Made a fuss with them and anyone I could involve, then they offered to give me $300 toward my replacement. Not what I purchased or what I was told would happen. In my legal terms it says if I don't receive warranty benefit within 60 days I can get refund. I am waiting for this. I think this is one big scam, stole my $1000 and tell me to hit the road. So many lies with all companies involved. All most of these companies provide is to take your money and give you nothing in return! Virginia Security Company should refund my money! I give them a zero rating for honesty and will remove if they refund me.
I used my Citi Card to purchase a Google Pixel 2 cell phone with my Citi credit card in October, 2017. Citi card offers 2 years of extended warranty via Virginia Surety Company, in addition to the manufacturer's warranty (2 year). My phone's battery stopped working properly recently, I submitted the claim but the Citi benefit office rejected my claim because the phone was once replaced by Google under warranty (USB port malfunction).
CIti contractor (Virginia Surety Co.)'s excuse was unreasonable. What they did was to avoid their responsibility. It's a practice of bait and switch. My original phone was replaced by Google under warranty, not by the customer or other third party.
