My experience with Virginia Property Insurance was a 100% negative. I could write a whole page about how ridiculous this company is, but to be honest, its not worth it. Suffice it to say that these people are unprofessional at best - criminal at worst. I would never, ever, under any circumstances, recommend doing business with these [redacted].
Ever since we signed up for our VPIA homeowner's policy, we have been under constant harassment, multiple times per year. I have never made one claim.
Declared chickens? Cancelled. Had to get rid of chickens.
Secured single goat? Cancelled. Have to get rid of him now.
Declared professionally-installed woodstove for secondary heat? Oh my gosh, don't even think such a thing. Cancelled. Had to bring in site engineers to verify measurements, to the inch, of all dimensions, clearances, etc.
Deck on the back of house with removeable hand rail? Well, they snuck onto my property and took pictures behind my house while we were gone at work. Cancelled.
This company is a high-maintenance disaster. Keep shopping. After three years of this disaster, I'm calling my insurance broker Monday to drop these clowns.
Review: My mother has
virginia property insurance
association, on April 12, 2014 she had a cookout at her house. I was on the grill an there where four other people on her deck when her deck gave way. No one was hurt so that Monday she reported the claim to virginia property insurance association. A guy came out took pictures an said someone would contact her. My mother called three times an left voices mails on her claims adjusters voice mailbox which didn't get returned until she contacted [redacted], which was the company who got her home insurance thru virginia property insurance association.
The claims adjuster then lied to a rep at [redacted] by the name of [redacted] stating she had talked to my mother that day, but my mother had never spoke with the adjuster. The following day the adjuster contacted my mother an denied the claim on her deck
Stating poor workmen ship.
This company virginia property insurance association came out to my mothers house pryer to covering her an took pictures of the whole house the deck included. If there was a problem with the deck they never should have given her a policy nor cover her, but now she has a claim her first claim they don't wanna fix her deck stating poor workmen ship. My mother has only been in her house for two years an the deck was already on the house an the home inspector passed the deck an said it was fine at the time of the home insepection. This company virginia property insurance association is not a good company if anyone has insurance wit them please switch now! Thank uDesired Settlement: I would like for them to pay for my mother to get her deck fixed.
